TAKE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH - Reasons to EARLY TO BED AND EARLY TO RISE, MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY, AND WISE

TAKE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH - Reasons to sleep & wake up early.

EARLY TO BED AND EARLY TO RISE, MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY, AND WISE
EARLY TO BED AND EARLY TO RISE, MAKES A MAN HEALTHY, WEALTHY, AND WISE

Evening at 9 - 11pm: is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.

Evening at 11pm - 1am: is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 1 - 3am: detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am: detoxification in the lungs.. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicines so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.

Morning 5 - 7am: detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9am: absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10am rather than no meal at all.

Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Know what you eat? Food has a pattern that resembles a body organ or physiological function and that this pattern acts as a signal or sign as to the benefit the food provides the eater.

Know what you eat?

You are what you eat, so eat well. A stupendous insight of civilizations past has now been confirmed by today's investigative, nutritional sciences. They have shown that what was once called 'The Doctrine of Signatures' was astoundingly correct. It now contends that every whole food has a pattern that resembles a body organ or physiological function and that this pattern acts as a signal or sign as to the benefits the food provides the eater. Here is just a short list of examples of Whole Food Signatures.

Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? .... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Laughing Theraphy - Laughing is an excellent way to reduce stress in our lives.

Laughing Theraphy - Laughing is an excellent way to reduce stress in our lives.

Laughing Therapy

A type of therapy that uses humor to help relieve pain and stress and improve a person's sense of well-being. ... Laughter therapy may include laughter exercises, clowns, and comedy movies, books, games, and puzzles. It is a type of complementary therapy. Also called humor therapy.

Laughing is an excellent way to reduce stress in our lives. Learn about Laughter Therapy and Laughter Yoga as fun and alternative ways to reduce stress.

Laughing Theraphy - Laughing is an excellent way to reduce stress in our lives

Patients, doctors and health-care professionals are all finding that laughter may indeed be the best medicine.

Laughing is found to lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormones, increase muscle flexion, and boost immune function by raising levels of infection-fighting T-cells, disease-fighting proteins called Gamma-interferon and B-cells, which produce disease-destroying antibodies. Laughter also triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, and produces a general sense of well-being.

Therapeutic Benefits of Laughter

Laughter is infectious. Hospitals around the country are incorporating formal and informal laughter therapy programs into their therapeutic regimens. In countries such as India, laughing clubs -- in which participants gather in the early morning for the sole purpose of laughing -- are becoming as popular as Rotary Clubs in the United States.

Humor is a universal language. It's a contagious emotion and a natural diversion. It brings other people in and breaks down barriers. Best of all it is free and has no known side reactions.

Therapeutic Benefits of Laughter

Dr. Lee Berk and fellow researcher Dr. Stanley Tan of Loma Linda University in California have been studying the effects of laughter on the immune system. To date their published studies have shown that laughing lowers blood pressure, reduces stress hormones, increases muscle flexion, and boosts immune function by raising levels of infection-fighting T-cells, disease-fighting proteins called Gamma-interferon and B-cells, which produce disease-destroying antibodies. Laughter also triggers the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, and produces a general sense of well-being.

Following is a summary of his research, taken from an interview published in the September/October 1996 issue of the Humor and Health Journal.

Laughter Activates the Immune System

In Berk's study, the physiological response produced by belly laughter was opposite of what is seen in classical stress, supporting the conclusion that mirthful laughter is a eustress state -- a state that produces healthy or positive emotions.

Research results indicate that, after exposure to humor, there is a general increase in activity within the immune system, including:

  • An increase in the number and activity level of natural killer cells that attack viral infected cells and some types of cancer and tumor cells.

  • An increase in activated T cells (T lymphocytes). There are many T cells that await activation. Laughter appears to tell the immune system to "turn it up a notch."

  • An increase in the antibody IgA (immunoglobulin A), which fights upper respiratory tract insults and infections.

  • An increase in gamma interferon, which tells various components of the immune system to "turn on."

  • An increase in IgB, the immunoglobulin produced in the greatest quantity in body, as well as an increase in Complement 3, which helps antibodies to pierce dysfunctional or infected cells. The increase in both substances was not only present while subjects watched a humor video; there also was a lingering effect that continued to show increased levels the next day.

Laughter Decreases "Stress" Hormones

The results of the study also supported research indicating a general decrease in stress hormones that constrict blood vessels and suppress immune activity. These were shown to decrease in the study group exposed to humor.

For example, levels of epinephrine were lower in the group both in anticipation of humor and after exposure to humor. Epinephrine levels remained down throughout the experiment.

In addition, dopamine levels (as measured by dopac) were also decreased. Dopamine is involved in the "fight or flight response" and is associated with elevated blood pressure.

Laughing is aerobic, providing a workout for the diaphragm and increasing the body's ability to use oxygen.

Laughter brings in positive emotions that can enhance – not replace -- conventional treatments. Hence it is another tool available to help fight the disease.

Experts believe that, when used as an adjunct to conventional care, laughter can reduce pain and aid the healing process. For one thing, laughter offers a powerful distraction from pain.

In a study published in the Journal of Holistic Nursing, patients were told one-liners after surgery and before painful medication was administered. Those exposed to humor perceived less pain when compared to patients who didn't get a dose of humor as part of their therapy.

Perhaps, the biggest benefit of laughter is that it is free and has no known negative side effects.

So, here is a summary of how humor contributes to physical health. More details can be found in the article, Humor and Health contributed by Paul McGhee

Muscle Relaxation - Belly laugh results in muscle relaxation. While you laugh, the muscles that do not participate in the belly laugh, relaxes. After you finish laughing those muscles involved in the laughter start to relax. So, the action takes place in two stages.

Reduction of Stress Hormones - Laughter reduces at least four of neuroendocrine hormones associated with stress response. These are epinephrine, cortisol, dopac, and growth hormone.

Immune System Enhancement - Clinical studies have shown that humor strengthens the immune system.

Pain Reduction - Humor allows a person to "forget" about pains such as aches, arthritis, etc.

Cardiac Exercise - A belly laugh is equivalent to "an internal jogging." Laughter can provide good cardiac conditioning especially for those who are unable to perform physical exercises.

Blood Pressure - Women seem to benefit more than men in preventing hypertension.

Respiration - Frequent belly laughter empties your lungs of more air than it takes in resulting in a cleansing effect - similar to deep breathing. Especially beneficial for patient's who are suffering from emphysema and other respiratory ailments.

Laugh Your Way to Enlightenment!

Happiness is our essential nature.

Rather than waiting for external events to determine our happiness, we can find it deep inside ourselves. Perhaps we think we have to be relaxed and calm, or that all sorts of conditions must exist for us to be happy. This is not the case; happiness can exist for no reason. The more we practice smiling, laughing and enjoying ourselves for no reason, the more we will discover that we already have what we seek.

Many of us know that laughter is good for us, but we might feel that we have nothing to laugh about; we may feel more like crying. The second stage of The Mystic Rose can help us to release and heal old wounds, unburden sorrows and discover deep peace within.

So try some laughter techniques, but be kind and gentle with yourself. And remember: If you are in the midst of a difficult time in your life, commit an equal amount of time to allow your sadness to exist. The balanced awareness and expression of both of these energies will bring you to a deeper harmony and peace within yourself.

The Benefits

Laughter is good for us in every way as several studies have shown. (See, for example, articles by N. Lehrman in Archives of Internal Medicine, April 26,1993; by Lee Berk, Dr. P.H. in Loma Linda University School of Medicine News, March 11,1999; by N.Silver in American Health, November 1986; by J. McCormick in Lancet, August 1994. Among these findings:

  • Laughter stimulates physical healing.

  • Laughter enhances our creativity.

  • Laughter is rejuvenating and regenerating.

  • Laughter is sexy.

  • Laughter is good for relationships.

  • Laughter opens the heart.
  • Laughter gives us a glimpse of freedom from the mind.

The Laughter Meditation

When you wake up in the morning, stretch your body-every muscle, cell and fiber-just like a cat. After a few moments, start laughing. Just start. At the beginning you may have to force it a little, saying 'Ha, Ha, Ha,' or 'Ho, Ho, Ho' to get the laughter energy moving. Soon, a spontaneous laughter will arise at the sound of your attempts at laughing. Try it for five minutes. Just laugh for no reason at all. Laugh for the sake of laughing.

Try it again for five minutes when you go to bed, just before you go to sleep. Try it in the shower or while driving your car in traffic. Ha, Ha, Ha. Even to say those words out loud will start a transformation in your energy, in your mood.

At the beginning, it will take some effort; you might want to use a laughter CD to help you get started. After a little while, it will start to happen naturally. Your body will get used to it, will start to expect it.

Laughter is one of the easiest ways to free yourself from the mind's constant thought process and find inner peace. It will make you more alive, more healthy, more creative, and more silent. Simply relax into the enjoyment. You will discover in yourself a tremendous natural talent for rejoicing in life. You may even laugh your way to enlightenment. Yes, it's that good. Remember to laugh-a lot-every day.

LIFEPATH PERIODS

THE LIFE PATH PERIODSTHE LIFE PATH PERIODS

The life path has been discussed in very elementary details previously, and the life path period is an addition to this reading that should be taken into account. If we live long enough, we will experience three life path periods. As you progress into this page, think of the readings in terms of a modification or enhancement personalizing the life path reading. These readings do not replace the life path reading, but merely fine tune and customize it to the individual. Because life path periods can vary so widely, the life path we are on becomes complex and motley.

The life periods are based on the birth date. The number representing the month of birth, reduced to a single digit or master number, is the first life path period indicator. The second life path period is determined by the day of birth reduced to a single digit or master number. The final period is based on the year of birth reduced to a single digit or master number.

The timing of the first period begins at birth and continues until at least when in astrological progression the Moon has returned to its original place in the birth chart. This is about 28 years. To estimate the completion of the first period, determine the year that the subject turns 28. Next, calculate the personal year for the subject that year. If it is a 1 personal year, this year should be considered the beginning of the second life path period. If it is a 2 personal year for the subject, the previous year should be considered the beginning of the second life path period. If it is a 3-9 personal year, the beginning of the second life path period will not occur until the beginning of the next nine year cycle, i.e. the next 1 personal year.

This same process should be used to determine the beginning of the third life path period. For this, it is the 1 personal year a year before, on, or after, the 56th birthday.

For example, my birth is month 2, day 8, year 1939/22. Thus, I would be 28 in 1967 (1939+28-1967) which would be a 6 personal year for me. The next, 1968 would be 7 personal year; 1969 an 8 personal year, and 1970 a 9 personal year. The year 1971 would be my next 1 personal year making this the year that my life path period changed to 8. In 1995, a 7 personal year for me, I turned 56. My next number 1 personal year came in 1998. This then was the beginning of my third life path period.

These links will take you to the three periods, early years, productive years, and later years, for each of numbers:

1 Life Path Period

Early years: In this period you will show a stronger tendency toward independence. Originality and creativity come early and continue through this period. You have the ability to lead early on, but at a time when the emphasis is on learning to follow, this can be a problem. You do have a good deal of early self-confidence and individuality which can help you achieve early successes. You are aggressive in your early career path.

Productive years: In this period you will have more drive and determination thanks to the 1 life path period. If you have other indicators that you would do well in business for yourself, this life path period would be time to move in that direction. Your demeanor now is highly independent and leadership skills are sharpened. The potential pitfalls here are letting ego go a little out of control and perhaps showing a lack of patience at times.

Later years: New challenges may continue to appear even in your later years. In this period you may achieve the recognition that eluded you earlier, and this may mean it will be hard to kick back and take life easy. A 1 life path period does not lend itself to early retirement and leisure activities. Indeed, this may become the most active time of your life.

2 Life Path Period

Early years: This is a difficult life path period for a young child since it suggests that emotions may run high and sensitivities to many things may be present. On the positive side, this influence may be helpful for developing any artistic talents. The 2 period may be one in which you will be required to be helpful, supportive, and willing to adapt in general. A tendency to have emotional reactions to problems and confrontation may follow you into early adulthood.

Productive years: The 2 lifepath period suggests that you will profit from your ability to work together with others in harmony and cooperation. In these years your ability to use skills in diplomacy and mediation will be pronounced. The affairs of others and their success may be the key to your own advancement. Pushing your own agenda doesn't work as well now. The need is to control hyperactive emotions that may appear from time to time.

Later years: The 2 lifepath period in the later years promises a good retirement with many friends and opportunities. Your influence now will be based on your ability to bring together diverse opinions and ideas. Friends and family, and especially a close relationship is all important to your happiness now. Having close connections is vital to your health and wellbeing in your senior years.

3 Life Path Period

Early years: The 3 is an excellent lifepath period for a young person because of its inclination toward the development of expression. Any talents you may have in creative or artistic endeavors are encouraged during this period. Emotions may be high and hyperactive tendencies can be present. Making friends and enjoying social interactions will come easily now. Enjoy life as this is the tone of the 3 period, but be careful not to scatter your activities to the point that you fail to make progress on anything.

Productive years: This is likely to be a very pleasant, carefree and creative time in your life. Being original and using your talents of expression will find you furthering your career and your life in general. If there is a pitfall during this time it is becoming overly optimistic and extravagant, and spreading your talents too thin. In all this is a period that offers much happiness in exchange for a minimum of planning and concentration.

Later years: A 3 period in later life suggests an active social life with numerous hobbies and activities. If you are a creative person, this late life period may become your most prolific and fruitful. Indeed, this may be the time to write that book you have thought about, a time to learn a new method of expression perhaps, or simply let your imagination run free. Enjoy yourself, it won't be that terribly hard now.

4 Life Path Period

Early years: A 4 life path period is not much fun for a young person. It suggests that learning is difficult or the demands placed upon you to learn were harsh and burdensome. Now you have to build a solid foundation and the tone is one of learning practicality, order, and routine. Often this period denotes growing up with limited resources or restrictions of some sort. The demands often set the stage for later successes. You are to be very well prepared to start your career in early adulthood.

Productive years: This period is a time to build and develop ideas into a tactile form. Now is a time that you become more of a builder, a better organizer, and perhaps even a more stable and secure person. Your judgment and decisions take on more conservatism and practicality, and they are based on careful and more thoughtful planning. You are apt to be more serious about your work and perhaps devote more time to it, too. Be careful not to become a workaholic. With a 4 lifepath period you must be constantly reminded to take the time to smell the roses.

Later years: The 4 period in the later years suggests a period that predicts work rather than retirement. Whether by choice or by necessity, you are apt to keep your nose to the grindstone a lot longer than most of your peers. Even if you do retire, you will want to keep working on hobbies and avocation long after others have opted for the rocking chair. If you own your own business, it may be hard to accept that fact that things can run without your ever present attention.

5 Life Path Period

Early years: The 5 period early in life can be difficult because it often lacks the stability and certainty that you may wish for. This period often features changes and emphases freedom of thought and activity. You are likely to be constantly looking for something new, something exciting, something less boring to stimulate your expansive mind. During this time you will be an explorer and a wanderer. Whether this is a positive or a negative trait only time will tell. At any rate you are driven by curiosity and adventure. A restless nature often results, and as you progress into adulthood, a number of job or career changes may occur.

Productive years: In this period you are ever ready to accept change, progress, and new ideas. Likewise you are quick, some times too quick, to dump the old, old jobs, old activities, even old relationships. Sometimes this is good, sometime not so good. At any rate this 5 period suggests that you are more impulsive now and the test will be to see if you can handle the increased freedom you are feeling with constructive judgment. If so, you will find this is a period that can and should produce remarkable results.

Later years: With the 5 period occurring late in life, be prepared for a never ending series of adventures and expansive travel so long as the resources hold out. Actually, however, many with a late life 5 period choose to continue to work because of the sense of freedom found in their endeavors now; so long as the work is not boring or routine, there may be no reason to quit. This influence will continue to send you off to find new challenges and try new things. You are never too old to learn.

6 Life Path Period

Early years: The 6 period produces a need to be needed, and you probably want to help your parents or your brothers, sisters, and friends in whatever way you can. In some cases, this period is one in which the subject is required or somehow forced to take on more than a normal amount of responsibility at an early age. Generally, this early time in the life is marked by obvious attempts to be helpful and even nurturing to others. In early adulthood there is a strong sense of responsibility and caring.

Productive years: Through these years you will find yourself getting ahead only after you have made the personal sacrifices necessary to benefit others in need. Much of your life in this period will tend to be centered around your home and family. This is not a period that lends itself to dramatic enrichment because you tend to be more selfless and less demanding of personal rewards. Your opportunities may be as an idealist, a mediator, and perhaps even a leader in your community. Certainly the focus of the period is associated with family and domestic concerns.

Later years: The 6 period late in life is usually a happy and content time. It denotes a tendency to accept responsibility and lend a helping hand to those around you. You are not likely to be lonely in your later years since family and domestic matters will probably be emphasized during this time. Indeed, you may help or even be responsible for rearing a grandchild or two.

7 Life Path Period

Early years: If there is a problem with the 7 period in early life it is being misunderstood or considered "difficult." In this period you may have the sense that you are different from your peers. You repel conformity. The 7 period makes you inclined to seek and absorb learning as a primary focus. The fact that you don't feel very comfortable in your environment is to be expected. Your natural curiosity and inquisitive mind will take you far during this period.

Productive years: The 7 period in the productive years is excellent for one continuing studies and analysis into mid life. The tendency is to strive for mental growth and development and you are apt to be in the process of expanding your areas of interest now. This period is a plus if you are engaged in academic pursuits, but otherwise progress may be slow. It is hard to force yourself to seek opportunity now, and if you do, it will probably be to no avail. Perhaps it will come to you if you get prepared.

Later years: When the 7 period occurs in later life you may find yourself engaged in study as never before in your life. This period may find you writing more, engaged in some form of research, or venturing into new and interesting subjects. This is not a very social period and indeed there is concern that you may become increasingly isolated by your own choosing.

8 Life Path Period

Early years: An 8 period in early life stresses the practical and the material. This is not the stuff of a good childhood experience as it may tend to elevate the importance of material success at an inappropriate age. For the less affluent, there may be too much interest in achieving material goals. This period may have its positive side in preparing a relatively young person for financial and material success. You may go into business early in life with the tools to succeed.

Productive years: The 8 lifepath period in the productive years may push you to a level of success that would not have otherwise been attained. This period denotes a time when attainment, authority, and general business acumen is brought to foreground. You will want to set your goals high and do everything in a big way. If you have the inherent management abilities, this period will accelerate your prestige and attainments.

Later years: With the 8 lifepath period in later life, it is suggested that your greatest achievements may be yet to come. If all you have lacked before is good management, now may be your time to shine. In retirement you may find yourself deeply involved in clubs, organizations and perhaps government entities. Your contribution to these can be important for your sense of accomplishment and for your social life at this time.

9 Life Path Period

Early years: The 9 lifepath is difficult for a young person because so much is expected of them in terms of feeling compassion and tolerance. The youthful years are by nature selfish years and the 9 period stifles this sense of being self absorbed. While the upbringing under this influence can be helpful in the future, often the period brings periods of feeling lonely, unappreciated and unsure of self. The lesson of the 9 is that life is universal rather than personal, and thus, those with this early path may have a head start.

Productive years: With the 9 in the productive years you may find yourself becoming more of a humanitarian. You may find it easier to express compassion, sympathy, understanding and tolerance while in this period. This can be an emotional cycle and one of significant personal growth. You may be called on to overcome disappointments and setbacks, but the potential for gain in this period is significant.

Later years: The 9 period in the later years generally signifies a settled and happy life at this juncture. You are inclined to positive feelings toward the world, and you will want to share your experiences to a greater extent. You may engage in many positive works benefiting mankind or just a few needy souls in your immediate environment. The lesson of the number is learning to give without expecting to get something back. If you have learned this by this time, this period may well be the best part of your life.

11 Life Path Period

Early years: This master number is generally not attainable by a very young person and it is usually best to consider this a 2 lifepath period early on. As a young adult, you may find yourself drawn toward spiritual matters and idealism. Indeed, in this period you are inclined to act as an idealist, perhaps studying religion, metaphysics, or philosophy. Modest goals during this period will serve you best, as being too aggressive will result in problems with stress and nerves.

Productive years: In the productive years the 11 lifepath period will serve you best in any spiritual pursuit, but you may find yourself being a little out of touch with the business world. If your life has been a material one up to now, this period may cause some redirection. If you have inclinations to teach, to heal, to uplift, this is period when these lofty goals can come to fruit. This period can be a hard one if you find yourself under pressure and stress. Nervous tension can be a periodic problem.

Later years: In retirement or at least the later years, the 11 lifepath period may direct you toward a more spiritual conclusion. In these years you will be able to find more time for study and reflection, expanding your mind and broadening your thinking. This redirection may push you into a more spiritual way of thinking and definitely away from the material side of life. For some who reject the idea of spiritualism, the "Later years 2" reading may be more definitive.

22 Life Path Period

Early years: There is no early 22 lifepath period since there is no 22 month.

Productive years: The 22 period during the productive years can send you sailing up the ladder. If you are properly prepared and adequately equipped, this period may find you being placed in charge of big projects, accomplishing huge achievements, and functioning or striving for a spot at the top of the heap. The number 22 is the master builder. Having the period doesn't necessarily make you a master builder, but it does produce the flow of events that will certainly speed you on the road to success. This is a time to follow your hunches as you assume greater responsibility and capitalize on opportunities. Keep nerves and emotions under control as these can be a problem during this period.

Later years: Many with the 22 period in later life never do retire or if they do, that retirement is never one that is complete leisure. Nervous energy may keep you on the go. This period may well be your most accomplished as events of the time may indeed set you up for big projects and major achievements. Keep occupied in these years and don't shy away from the main stage of life.

What is Chakras?

Chakras are energy centres which govern the subtle, psychosomatic aspects of our inner being. This Sanskrit term means wheel or disk, and when the chakras are awakened, they turn in a clockwise direction. The chakras open up like flowers and pour out their qualities re-establishing our inner balance and restoring our health and form.

Of the many chakras within the human body, seven have been identified as major. Chakras are first mentioned in the Vedas, ancient Hindu texts of knowledge.

The major chakras are whirling energy centers, which in general are about three to four inches in diameter. They control and energize the vital organs of the visible physical body, and work like power stations to supply life energy to them.

When the power station malfunctions, the vital organs become sick or diseased, because they lack the enough life energy to operate properly. Minor chakras are about one to two inches in diameter and the mini chakras are even smaller. Both the minor and mini chakras control and energize the less important parts of the visible physical body. In general, the chakras interpenetrate and extend beyond the visible physical body.

Chakras: The seven chakras

The conventional system has seven charkas:

7. Sahasrara Chakra

Situated in the limbic area, it represents the integration of all the chakras and all the aspects of the Divine within us. The Sahasrara is the destination, a holy place filled with the silence and the bliss of the Spirit.

6. Agnya Chakra

Situated in the middle of the forehead,at the optic chiasm, where the channels of the subtle system cross. The agnya is the straight and narrow way leading to the Kingdom of Heaven, the state of thoughtless awareness. It is the centre of forgiveness.

5. Vishuddhi Chakra

Situated in the neck and the throat, this centre is in charge of every aspect of communication between human beings. From a physical point of view, it controls the cervical plexus. It governs the five senses and enables us to achieve the witness state.

4. Anahat Chakra

Situated behind the sternum, where antibodies are produced to protect our subtle system. This chakra gives a sense of security. It controls the heart plexus.

3. Nabhi Chakra

This centre is the seat of our attention, and it transmits material well-being and inner peace. It controls the solar plexus..

2. Swadhistana Chakra

This centre gravitates around the Nabhi, providing support for its action and creating the area of the Void. It symbolizes the creative sense within us. When the Kundalini rises, it enters the Nabhi, goes down to the Swadhistan and up again to the Nabhi. The Swadhistan controls the aortic plexus.

1. Mooladhara Chakra

"Moola" means root, and "adhara" the support. This chakra brings support and protection to the roots at Mooladhara, to the Kundalini, and to the whole subtle system. It is at the base of the left channel. It controls the pelvic plexus and gives innocence and wisdom.

Chakras: System with eleven Chakras

There is also a system that identifies eleven different charkas instead of the traditional seven charkas:

Basic Chakra

The basic chakra is located at the base of the spine or the coccyx area. This controls, energizes and strengths the whole visible physical body, especially the spine, the production and the quality of blood produced, the adrenal glands, the tissues of the body, the internal and sexual organs. People with highly activated basic chakra are usually healthy.

Sex Chakra

This chakra is located on the pubic area. It controls and energizes the sexual organs and the bladder.

Meng Mein Chakra

The meng mein chakra is located at the back of the navel. It serves as a 'pumping station' in the spine and is responsible for the upward flow of subtle pranic energies coming from the basic chakra. To avoid adverse effects, the meng mein chakra of infants, children, pregnant women and very old people should not be energized.

Navel Chakra

This chakra is located on the navel and it affects the general vitality of a person. Malfunctioning of the naval chakra results in constipation, appendicitis and difficulty in giving birth, low vitality and other intestine related diseases.

Spleen Chakra

The front spleen chakra is located on the left part of the abdomen between the front solar plexus chakra and the naval chakra. The front and back spleen chakras control and energize the spleen. The spleen purifies the blood of disease-causing germs. It also destroys worn-out blood cells.

Solar Plexus Chakra

A human body contains two solar plexus chakrasthe one located at the solar plexus area and the other in the back. Both controls and energizes the diaphragm, pancreas, liver, stomach and to a certain extent energizes the large and small intestines, appendix, lungs, heart and other parts of the body. The solar plexus chakra is also referred to as the 'energy clearing house center', mainly because the subtle energies from the lower chakras and from the higher chakras pass through it. The whole body can be energized through the solar plexus chakra. Malfunctioning of this may cause diabetes, ulcer, hepatitis, heart ailments and other illness related to the organs mentioned above.

Heart Chakra

Like the solar plexus, the human body contains two heart chakras, one located at the center of the chest, called front heart chakra, and the other located at the back of the heart, referred to as back heart chakra. The front heart chakra energizes and controls the heart, the thymus gland and the circulatory system. Malfunctioning of the front heart chakra manifests as heart and circulatory ailments. The back heart chakra primarily controls and energizes the lungs and, to a lesser degree, the heart and the thymus gland. Malfunctioning of the back heart chakra is marked as lung problems such as asthma, tuberculosis, and others.

Throat Chakra

This is located at the center of the throat. It controls and energizes the throat, the thyroid glands, parathyroid glands, and lymphatic system and to a certain degree, also influences the sex chakra.

Ajna Chakra

Also known as master chakra, the ajna chakra is located at the area between the eyebrows. It controls and energizes the pituitary gland, the endocrine glands and energizes the brain to a certain extent.

Forehead Chakra

This is located at the center of the forehead. It controls and energizes the pineal gland and the nervous system. Malfunctioning of the forehead chakra may result in the loss of memory, paralysis and epilepsy.

Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is located at the crown of the head. It controls and energizes the pineal gland, the brain and the entire body. It is also one of the major entry points of prana into the body.

Chakras and sound

According to Hindu beliefs, everything in the universe is made of sound. Each chakra has what is called a "seed sound". These seed sounds are the symbolic representations of the energy pattern of each chakra and hold its essence. Seed sounds are also referred to as bija mantras. When properly preforming these mantras, the individual resonates with the particular chakra. Crystal bowls or tuning forks are often used to aid those wishing to resonate with these wheels of light.

Chakras: Relationship between energy body and the physical body

Both the energy body and the visible physical body are so closely related that what affects one, affects the other and vice-versa. For instance, if the bioplasmic throat is weakened, then this may manifest on the visible physical body as cough, cold, sore throat, tonsillitis or other throat-related problems. Should a person accidentally cut his skin, there is a corresponding pranic leak in the area where there is bleeding. Initially, the affected area where there is a cut or sprain would become temporarily brighter due to pranic leak but would inevitably become grayish because of pranic depletion. If any part of the energy body is weakened either because of pranic congestion or depletion, the visible physical counterpart would either malfunction or become susceptible to infection. For example, a depleted solar plexus and liver may manifest as jaundice or hepatitis.

From the given examples, it becomes quite clear that the energy body and the visible physical body affect each other. By healing the energy body, the visible physical body gets healed in the process. This is called the Law of Correspondence. By regularly cleansing and energizing with prana, the nearsighted eyes would gradually improve and heal. A person with heart enlargement can be relieved in one or two sessions by simply decongesting the affected heart, shoulder, and upper left arm areas. Complete cure would take at least several months. By decongesting and energizing the head area, headaches can be removed in a few minutes.

Enlightenment - Spiritual Enlightenment

A wisdom archive for Spiritual Enlightenment with articles, interviews and personal experiences of enlightenment. Spiritual Enlightenment and Spiritual Awakening is the primary goal of almost all spiritual practices, traditions and religions and for any spiritual seeker. There are many names for this awakened state of Consciousness depending on what culture and tradition we belong to.

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Women: 10 Fatal Mistakes, expectations and demands of relationships in their lives

Women: 10 Fatal Mistakes, expectations and demands of relationships in their lives

10 Fatal Mistakes

Women Make In Relationships

Fatal Mistakes Women Make In Relationships

Many women do not recognize that they have the power within themselves to live the life they truly desire. Too often, women find themselves forfeiting that inner strength for the counterfeit of an externally driven motivator—the expectations and demands of relationships in their lives.

Relationships affect us in the three primary dimensions of life—the physical, emotional and spiritual realms. When relationships are chaotic, abusive or draining, they infringe on your body, mind and spirit. A friend of mine recently broke up with a man she really cared about after finding out about an affair he was having with someone else. Physically, she began to gain weight and her health became an issue. Mentally, she became depressed and her emotional wellness was affected. Her spiritual life suffered also as she allowed the negativity of her situation to shut out positive spiritual influences and people from her life.

There are 10 fatal mistakes that she made and other women seem to make in relationships that are listed below:

  1. TRUSTING TOO QUICKLY –Revealing to many intimate details about your life without taking time to assess whether or not this person is worthy of trust can backfire. Real intimacy takes time and cannot be rushed.

  2. VULNERABILITY—Knowing what your own wants and needs are can help decrease your vulnerability to be manipulated. For example, if security is important to you, and someone promises it to you, you may fall into something based on that promise and it can lure you into a situation that will not provide that at all.

  3. SETTLING FOR LESS—Desperation to have someone, anyone, be there can cause you to settle for less and less is not more when it comes to relationships in your life.

  4. ACCEPTING DISRESPECT—Verbal and physical abuse are never acceptable in a relationship! Making excuses and accepting this behavior tears at the very core of your being. Respect is not optional.

  5. LOSING YOUR SENSE OF SELF—Don’t allow feelings of guilt or unworthiness to steal your self-worth. If you do not love your own self, you cannot expect anyone to.

  6. ISOLATION – Don’t shut out positive sources or turn away those who have your best interest at heart. Their support may be the link to safety.

  7. DWELLING ON THE NEGATIVE CIRCUMSTANCE—Being consumed with the situation where it’s all you think about, talk about and worry about. That doesn’t make it change—only taking action to do something different can bring a different response.

  8. TRYING TO "CHANGE" HIM—Nobody can make anybody be different. People are who they are and when someone shows you their real face, see it as it is.

  9. AVOIDING THE PAIN—Denying that you are hurting doesn’t make the pain go away. You must deal with the issue at hand and make a decision about how you will handle it. Denial of what is going on will not stop the inner pain you feel.

  10. REPLACEMENT SYNDROME--Rushing out to find someone else to fill the void of the ended relationship. This can result in double disaster, especially when you find yourself attracted to the same kind of individual or situation. Take time to clear your head and heart. Wait a while before jumping into another relationship.

It is important for women to recognize and understand that being whole—physically, emotionally and spiritually—is key to experiencing relationships that contribute to a healthy and happy life. Being able to love and accept yourself is the first step to opening the exciting path of a beautiful and wholesome relationship with someone else.

What is a DNA Test?

How is DNA Testing used in establishing paternity?

How does DNA testing work? What is genetic identity?

Looking at yourself and at your friends, neighbors, and relatives, it is obvious that we are all different. These differences are attributable to the vast diversity contained in our genetic code.

DNA, Deoxyribonucleic Acid, is a molecule that contains all of your genetic code information. By examining the DNA molecule and its genetic code, the differences among individuals can be scientifically and accurately determined.

Consider DNA to be a blue print exclusive to you alone that determines many of your unique characteristics. The color of you hair eyes, bone structure, even some of your health characteristics are all determined by the genetic code contained in the DNA molecule.

How is DNA testing done? Is it easy to collect DNA?

To determine genetic identity, DNA testing is performed which analyzes certain parts of the genetic code found in each of us. DNA is contained in every cell of your body. A simple and safe method for collecting DNA containing your genetic code is to swab cheek cells from inside your mouth using a soft cotton swab. You then send the swabs containing your cheek cells back to the DNA Security DNA Testing laboratory that specializes in isolating the DNA and analyzing specific portions of the genetic code. The genetic code of individuals can then be analyzed to provide an understanding of biological relationships or to determine identity.

DNA Paternity testing is one of the most common types of DNA testing being performed today. In 1999, more than 280,000 paternity tests were conducted in the United States. The basis of a DNA paternity test is that children receive one half of their DNA from each biological parent. By using our special DNA Testing methods that compare DNA types, we can determine if a person can be the biological parent of a child.

Why use DNA Security for Paternity Testing?

DNA Security provides Paternity DNA Test Kits which allow you to gather DNA simply and safely using a cotton swab provided in our DNA Test Kit, EASY ANSWERS. Our own state-of-the-art DNA testing laboratory will perform the DNA tests appropriate to accurately determine paternity.

Establishing Paternity - How does a DNA Test work?

If a person and a child do contain matching DNA types, then a probability of paternity can be assigned. Using DNA Security's DNA testing technology, it is common for the probability of parentage to exceed 99.99%. At these levels of accuracy, assignment of paternity is certain.

If a person does not have DNA types that match the child's DNA then the person cannot be the biological parent of the child. In this case it is said that the person is excluded from being the parent of the child. This conclusion is with absolute certainty and a probability value is not assigned.

Sibling DNA testing is used to determine if two individuals are brothers, sisters, or brother and sister. Two individuals born of the same biological parents share much more of their DNA than individuals that are not related to one another. On average, full siblings (share both biological parents) have 50% of their DNA in common, half siblings (share only one biological parent) have 25% of their DNA in common. With the results of a DNA Security sibling DNA test, we can determine if two people are siblings based on the amount and specific type of DNA they have in common.

Why use DNA Security for Sibling DNA Testing?

DNA Security provides Sibling DNA Test Kits which allow you to gather DNA simply and safely using a cotton swab provided in our DNA Test Kit, EASY ANSWERS. Our own state-of-the-art DNA testing laboratory will perform the DNA tests appropriate to accurately determine sibling relationships.

What Is Cholesterol?

What Is Cholesterol?
Taking a Look at Cholesterol

Before you start chomping on those cheese fries or that greasy burger, you might want to take a closer look at whether you're getting too much cholesterol. Cholesterol, a waxy substance produced by the liver and found in certain foods, is needed to make vitamin D and some hormones, build cell walls, and create bile salts that help you digest fat. Actually, your body produces enough cholesterol so that if you never touched another cheese fry, you'd be OK. But it's hard to avoid cholesterol entirely because so many foods contain it.

Too much cholesterol in the body can lead to serious problems like heart disease. Many factors can contribute to high cholesterol, but the good news is there are things you can do to control them.

Taking a Look at Cholesterol

Lipids are fats that are found throughout the body. Cholesterol, a type of lipid, is found in foods from animal sources. This means that eggs, meats, and whole-fat dairy products (including milk, cheese, and ice cream) are loaded with cholesterol - and vegetables, fruits, and grains contain none. The liver produces about 1,000 milligrams of cholesterol a day, and you probably consume about 150 to 250 milligrams in the foods you eat.

Because cholesterol can't travel alone through the bloodstream, it has to combine with certain proteins. These proteins act like trucks, picking up the cholesterol and transporting it to different parts of the body. When this happens, the cholesterol and protein form a lipoprotein together.

The two most important types of lipoproteins are high-density lipoproteins (or HDL) and low-density lipoproteins (or LDL). You've probably heard people call LDL cholesterol "bad cholesterol" and HDL cholesterol "good cholesterol" because of their very different effects on the body. Most cholesterol is LDL cholesterol, and this is the kind that's most likely to clog the blood vessels, keeping blood from flowing through the body the way it should.

About one third to one fourth of the total amount of cholesterol is HDL cholesterol. HDL cholesterol carries cholesterol back to the liver, where it can be processed and sent out of the body.

Why Do People Worry About High Cholesterol?

When you have too much cholesterol, it can be dangerous to your health. When LDL cholesterol levels are high, cholesterol is deposited on the walls of arteries and forms a hard substance called plaque. Over time, plaque causes the arteries to become narrower, decreasing blood flow and causing a condition called atherosclerosis (pronounced: ah-thuh-ro-skluh-ro-sis), or hardening of the arteries.

When atherosclerosis affects the coronary arteries (the blood vessels that supply the muscles of the heart), the condition is called coronary artery disease, which puts a person at risk for having a heart attack. When atherosclerosis affects the blood vessels that supply the brain, the condition is called cerebral vascular disease, which puts a person at risk of having a stroke. Atherosclerosis may also block blood flow to other vital organs, including the kidneys and intestines. This is why it's so important to start paying attention to cholesterol levels as a teen - you can delay or prevent serious health problems in the future.

What Causes High LDL Cholesterol Levels?

Some of the factors that can lead to high cholesterol are:

  • Overweight - Excess weight has been linked with high cholesterol levels.

  • Heredity - If cholesterol problems or heart disease run in your family, you are at a higher risk for having problems.

  • Diet - Remember the saying "you are what you eat"? Avoid foods that are high in cholesterol, saturated fat, and trans fat, all of which increase cholesterol levels and your risk of developing heart disease.

  • Physical activity - Exercise tends to increase HDL levels, which lowers your chance of developing heart disease.

  • Age - The risk of high cholesterol increases as you get older.

What Can I Do to Lower My Cholesterol?

Some people who have high cholesterol levels need to be on medication as part of their treatment to lower it. Although most teens won't need to take medication to lower their cholesterol, it's still important to keep cholesterol in check. To see if you have high cholesterol, talk to your doctor, who can test your cholesterol levels by drawing a sample of your blood.

You can't change your genes but there are things you can do now to decrease your risk for heart disease later. Try to eat less saturated fat, limit the amount of trans fat, and limit cholesterol (check food labels if you're not sure how much of these particular foods contain). The American Heart Association recommends that cholesterol intake should be less than 300 milligrams a day, total fat intake should be 30% or less of your total calories, and saturated fat should be 10% or less of the total daily calories you consume. Also, maintain a healthy weight and get moving. Regular aerobic exercise - stuff like biking, walking, and swimming - strengthens your heart, lowers cholesterol, and helps you to lose excess weight. For people who smoke, quitting can help decrease the risk of heart disease.

Here are some helpful tips you can try:

  • Eat a diet that contains many low-cholesterol foods: fruits, veggies, whole grains (like breads and cereals), legumes (beans), and fish.

  • Eat a diet that is low in saturated and trans fat. Replace saturated and trans fats with unsaturated fats - for example, cook with olive oil or another heart-friendly oil instead of using butter or stick margarine.

  • If you eat meat, try using lean meat like skinless poultry. Make sure you trim off all noticeable fat before cooking and drain the fat from the pan after browning meats.

  • Instead of frying, try boiling, broiling, baking, roasting, poaching, steaming, or sautéing.

  • Instead of whole milk, use low-fat or nonfat milk, which contains all the nutrients without all the fat. Also, try low-fat or nonfat yogurts and cheeses or cottage cheese. You can also substitute low-fat buttermilk or yogurt in a recipe that calls for cream cheese or sour cream.

  • Use trans-fat-free margarine.

  • Instead of meat, try beans, peas, lentils, or tofu.

  • Instead of eggs, try just egg whites or cholesterol-free commercial egg substitutes.

  • Use liquid vegetable oil or tub margarine instead of butter, shortening, or stick margarine. Stay away from products that contain hydrogenated vegetable oils.

  • Pass on commercially prepared baked goods, which are often made with hydrogenated oils or trans fats.

  • Looking for snacks that are low in fat and cholesterol? Try fruits, raw veggies and low-fat dips, low-fat cookies and crackers, plain unsalted popcorn or pretzels, gelatin, or low-fat yogurt.

If you are concerned about cholesterol and heart disease, talk to your doctor. Visit the American Heart Association's website, which contains lots of information as well as easy low-cholesterol recipes for you to try at home. Although not all the factors contributing to heart disease and high cholesterol can be controlled, many can. Start taking care of your body now and it will thank you in the future.

Numerology : Birthday

 Numerology : Birth Date

 Numerology : Birthday

The day of the month on which the you were born - regardless of which month or year it is - is a key numerological indicator, providing an excellent "thumbnail sketch" of standout traits. It strongly influences your Life Path and is helpful in choosing your vocation, since it carries its greatest influence between approximately your 28th and 56th birthdays. This is one of the four most important numbers in a chart, the others being the Soul Urge, Expression and the Life Path. You may find that you vibrate to one or more of these numbers, i.e., feel a particular draw to them without consciously knowing why.

1st, 10th, 19th & 28th - Birthdays

numerological indicator, providing an excellent

1st Day of the Month

A birthday on the first day of the month means that you have a strong will, are self-reliant and independent. People may say you "think too much," because you like to plan but not to actually build. Similarly, you're better at diagnosing what's wrong than prescribing a remedy. You have a good mind and like to reason things out. Practical and idealistic at the same time, you refer most things to your head rather than to your heart. As a result, although you are capable of great affection, you are not usually demonstrative of it. In spite of all your independence you are very sensitive and need positive feedback and encouragement. You possess a great deal of unexpressed power.

10th Day of the Month

A birthday on the tenth day of the month indicates a person with many interests, capable of doing several things at the same time. Many others depend on you but few offer help, so you may feel rather isolated and alone. You have a good mind and strong will, and are an adept promoter of things you believe in. When it comes to friends and possessions (which you may regard in the same light) you are quite jealous and exclusive - you do not share either. Your creative talent is best expressed in the business world, but art, particularly music or painting, is a fulfilling sideline. Hospitable but not domestic, you don't like to be burdened with the details of maintaining a home. Your vitality enables you to quickly recover from physical and emotional ills.

19th Day of the Month

A birthday on the nineteenth day of the month indicates the full gamut of the vibrations, from 1 through 9, influencing your personality. Logical, persevering, tenacious, practical , artistic and universal, you can rise to great heights or fall to great depths in both acts and emotions. You're independent and must not submit to limitations. This independence is the source of your dislike of society's conventions, which you refuse to follow in your private life, though you don't give public offense. Your versatility opens a wide range of career options for you, though you are suited to a profession rather than to business. Your deep sense of responsibility and strong impulse to better conditions equip you well for politics if you are so inclined. You crave change and variety, are always altering your surroundings and will need to make many adjustments in your personal life.

28th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-eighth day of the month indicates a strong willed, dominant, tenacious person who is nonetheless filled with love and willing to go to any lengths for its sake. In this regard, your unions may be unconventional, but are always in keeping with your ideals. Executive by nature, you want to excel and will make great sacrifices to do so. Your tendency to daydream and goof off could nullify all your wonderful gifts, so you must never let laziness get the upper hand. Most of your disappointments come from magnifying everything that concerns your life. Freedom is essential to you; you suffer when restrained or limited in any way. Watch out for the tendency to drop your ideals once you have realized them, since this can deny you your final success.

2nd, 11th, 20th & 29th -Birthdays

2nd Day of the Month

A birthday on the second day of the month indicates that you are highly emotional and very sensitive to your environment. Somewhat nervous and forgetful, you make friends easily and they have great fondness for you. You're warm hearted and need demonstrated affection, so you like people to make a fuss over you. It's important that you avoid mood swings and anything that depresses you. While you like material comfort, you aren't always willing to make the effort to get it. Your talent for rhythm can be expressed in writing poetry or music.

11th Day of the Month

A birthday on the eleventh day of the month indicates an inspired, imaginative individual with determination and perseverance, but with fluctuating levels of energy. In keeping with this master vibration, you are very dramatic in both thought and action, brilliant, scintillating, but nervous and high strung. You react quickly - shoot from the hip - and need to be careful that your intellect doesn't bury your intuition. There's a tendency for you to impose your own moral code on others and not allow for human frailty. Your passions are intense, extreme and without reason; in fact, you are a person of extremes all around, in the clouds one minute, in the pits the next. In reacting to these extremes, take care not to overcorrect. Guard your health and nerves, and avoid any tendency to be mercenary, acquisitive or self-aggrandizing.

20th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twentieth day of the month indicates a person best suited to small business, in a friendly, protective atmosphere. You prefer to work with others rather than shoulder all the responsibility yourself, and are somewhat disinclined to branch out into larger fields. Although you are a better speaker on paper than before crowds, your instinctive compassion and sensitivity suits you well to politics or ministry. Sympathetic and affectionate, you're able to accumulate a store of knowledge and should have a good education. Your attention to detail makes you well suited to professions demanding that trait, such as corporate law or estate management. You prefer the country to the city and are deeply vested in your home, family and friends. While you like to be helpful, you're not inclined toward avoidable manual labor. Musical expression uplifts you, though you should pursue this as part of a group rather than a soloist.

29th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-ninth day of the month indicates inspiration, spirituality and leadership abilities, since this is a master vibration (2+9=11). You have a unique ability to bring together disparate forces and can mediate labor problems or unify religious differences. Your powers are great; you can use them to bring honor or destruction to yourself and others - as you choose. You're an extremist in everything, intense in love and judgments, either way up or way down emotionally. Home is essential to your happiness, but you're high strung and moody, and not easy to live with. You get absorbed in your dreams, aspirations and plans and forget to consider the needs or feelings of those around you. You need a definite work to keep you balanced and efficient.

3rd, 12th, 21st & 30th -Birthdays

3rd Day of the Month

A birthday on the third day of the month indicates that you have great vitality and can quickly recover from illness. Your vivid imagination enables you to make a good story out of the smallest event. You have innate critical and literary abilities, and need a variety of interests to keep you busy. Intense and extreme in your affections, you have great emotional crises from which you recover quickly. You're a social animal, expressive in public and at your top form in front of an audience. Although you are restless, you are also easily satisfied and able to make the best of conditions.

12th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twelfth day of the month indicates a brilliant, magnetic, imaginative person, a good speaker who can be very convincing in an argument. Since you have a well balanced mind, artistic tendencies and enjoy life and action, you could succeed as a trial lawyer, actor or in sales/advertising. Your high ideals demand that you have a "mission" in life. You need to keep intellectually active to avoid the ups and downs that are the handicap of all 3's. Your flair for design would serve you well in architecture or interior decorating. Flirtatious and inclined toward affairs, you need to finish what you start and avoid the tendency to scatter.

21st Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-first day of the month indicates an individual blessed with a beautiful singing and speaking voice that is a significant asset. Magnetic and musical, fond of beauty, art and dancing, you are rather nervous and high strung. You need to get a grip on the inexplicable aversions you feel toward certain things and people. When it comes to love you're more receptive than active in expressing it, but you take great pride in the objects of your affections. Your active imagination leads you to be suspicious, which can cause serious problems in relationships, especially marriage. Avoid the tendency to brood or become depressed. Inherently drawn to books, publishing, editing and related fields, you can be very successful in anything educational.

30th Day of the Month

A birthday on the thirtieth day of the month indicates a vital, rather nervous individual who seldom suffers from illnesses thanks to an enviable ability to throw them off. You need to avoid any type of obsession and should never experiment with the occult "for fun." Set in your opinions, you always think you're right, basing your conclusions on a little knowledge combined with much imagination and intuition. Fundamentally loyal, a true friend, you would make a good teacher, writer or social worker. You're flirtatious, but fundamentally loyal and like to be thanked for the thoughtful things you do. Although you're an excellent manager, you're not terribly fond of work.

4th, 13th, 22nd & 31st -Birthdays

4th Day of the Month

A birthday on the fourth day of the month indicates a four-square individual, a lover of nature, home, family and country. You are most likely to be successful in manufacturing, building, utilities, textiles - any occupation connected with the products of the earth. Music, painting or sculpting offer relaxing sidelines, although you could commercialize any of these as well. You're rather set in your ideas and tend to impose them on others, seeing yourself as the final arbiter of good manners and correct ethics. Your belief in discipline makes it hard for you to express your feelings, and as a result you suffer a great deal emotionally. When it comes to work, you drive yourself tirelessly -- and, unfortunately, everyone else, too. You have a decided tendency to overwork and if need be should schedule time for recreation.

13th Day of the Month

A birthday on the thirteenth day of the month indicates a riddle inside a contradiction, creativity, expansion and restlessness (1+3) behind regularity and limitation (4). You are sensitive and spiritual, suffer through your environment, and are given to explosions of temper. Your good mind is offset by an exceptionally stubborn will, and while you have a strong love nature, you seldom show it and then suffer because of it. Often misunderstood, you are considered temperamental and at times unreasonable, and while you are inclined to be dictatorial, you are an excellent manager. Your best success is in dealing with the earth - mining, geology, practical construction. A walking dichotomy, you love a uniform but hate war. Home is essential to your happiness.

22nd Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-second day of the month indicates a high powered individual who functions in both the objective and subjective worlds. This is a master vibration and as such, nervous and over-stimulated; you need rest and seclusion in order to recharge and maintain your equilibrium. Highly intuitive, you should rely on your first impressions. Although you have unlimited power on both planes, you are constantly pulled between expressing your ideals and keeping them within constructive limits. The 22 bears the mission of universal utilitarianism, which leaves little room for personal ambitions. Your greatest success lies in the world of form, in any line that meets your ideals and contributes to the general good. Avoid any dubious or illegal transactions; you would be sure to be caught and suffer the consequences.

31st Day of the Month

A birthday on the 31st day of the month indicates a person who, like those born on the thirtieth, shouldn't play with psychic phenomena. Your aspirations aren't always reasonable, which leads to disappointments; you need to apply practicality and patient hard work to your endeavors in order to succeed. You don't like to live alone and responsibility is a stabilizer for you, so it makes sense that you're the "marrying kind." You have good business qualities but need to get a grip on your tendency to spend money and dissipate other assets foolishly. Interior decoration, writing, chemistry and pharmacy (you have a special talent for combining drugs and medicines) are other career avenues for which you are well suited. You never forget a kindness - or an injury, real or imagined.

5th, 14th & 23rd -Birthdays

5th Day of the Month

A birthday on the fifth day of the month indicates that you are adaptable, enthusiastic and somewhat boastful. You have a fine mind and active imagination, and love to serve up your stories with all the trimmings. A lover of life, hale fellow well met, you're excellent company and keep things moving rapidly. Yours is a life filled with all sorts of new experiences and constant change. Although you are the type who refuses to be tied down by anything, you are the "marrying kind." You have a good singing and speaking voice.

14th Day of the Month

A birthday on the fourteenth day of the month indicates a versatile and dual person with both a reasoning and a prophetic mind. "Lucky" in games of chance and contests, you're a natural bettor and gambler. Your success lies in business on a large scale, but you need some form of artistic expression for recreation and to "let off steam." Very emotional, you can always be appealed to through your feelings and sympathies. You are apt to crave constant change, and should avoid all of the pitfalls associated with the physical - drugs, alcohol, promiscuity and other sexual excess. You can be a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds, and have great constructive or destructive power - as you choose.

23rd Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-third day of the month indicates a sympathetic, sensitive, understanding person with a practical turn of mind. You have an uncanny ability to diagnose physical ailments and would therefore be well suited for a career in medicine (but not surgery, since the mission of this vibration is to build and heal instead of tear down and destroy). Your technical ability and practicality may give you an interest in law, chemistry or stocks, but you are simply too practical to succeed in art. Self-sufficient, popular and sociable, you do not suffer from an inferiority complex. You get a lot out of life because you make the best of any situation. You're a good friend who is willing to take on many responsibilities

6th, 15th & 24th -Birthdays

6th Day of the Month

A birthday on the sixth day of the month indicates a love nature. You bloom with praise and appreciation, but wilt in the face of criticism. When involved in a relationship you lavish your affection on your beloved - at least for as long as the relationship lasts. The 6 seeks perfection and seldom finds it, so it looks elsewhere. Following such a course will earn you a reputation for being untrustworthy. You love children but don't have to have your own to be happy. Even though you are well protected, you worry constantly about not having enough money. Mental rather than intellectual, you have natural acting abilities that can help you succeed on the stage or in business. You have literary and artistic tendencies, and can attract the money or backing you need. The one area in which you are not talented is mechanics. Having people around you in a harmonious atmosphere is essential to your well being.

15th Day of the Month

A birthday on the fifteenth day of the month indicates a gifted person under the protection of the kindly, harmonious six who absorbs knowledge rather than acquires it through hard study. In fact, you attract many things - friends, gifts, money, opportunities, and give the impression of youthfulness and good health. You're capable of much self-sacrifice for a good cause or to help a friend, but you will not submit to domination. Your mind is scientific but your expession is often musical; although your success lies in a professional career, music plays a pivotal role throughout your life. You love your home, and while you are demonstrative and generous, you are more inclined toward individual acts of charity than to institutional philanthropy.

24th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-fourth day of the month indicates an extremely active person who must keep on the go in order to avoid wasting energy. Though you concentrate on one thing at a time, you thrive on constant change; you aren't the type to retire because you need to keeping expanding and enlarging. You're strongly allied to art and have considerable talent for the stage - your nature is thoroughly dramatic - but are more likely to succeed in business or real estate. Externals don't count much with you, so you don't have much appreciation for the value of time or money. You're primarily practical, with a little inclination to dream and a large inclination to magnify your joys and sorrows. You have a decidedly domestic nature along with a well developed ego and will learn much through your powers of observation. Avoid depression, jealousy and worry.

7th, 16th & 25th -Birthdays

7th Day of the Month

A birthday on the seventh day of the month indicates a specialist, one with a keen mind capable of deep mental analysis. You shouldn't gamble or speculate; on the contrary, you must closely examine every detail of any enterprise before becoming involved in it. Strongly intuitive if not psychic, you should never take advice that goes against your "gut feelings." You must WAIT for what you want rather than aggressively seek it, for what you long for comes to you only if it is not actively sought. You have talent for stringed instruments (including the piano) and the organ, as well as excellent judgment in money matters. Your opinions are firm and you don't like to change them; moreover, physical adjustments are not easy for you and you tend to be a loner, all of which makes marriage difficult. Spend a portion of each day alone to relax and meditate.

16th Day of the Month

A birthday on the sixteenth day of the month indicates a nervous and sometimes irritable person who makes complications and intricacies and then suffers the consequences. Naturally aloof, you nonetheless lean toward home and affection. Though you can suceed in art or literature, your powers of reason and analysis demand a business outlet as well. While not actively aggressive, you don't like your plans interfered with. You tend to put off until whenever the things you know you should be doing right now, and live too much within yourself. As much as you want affection, you don't always make the effort to earn it.

25th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-fifth day of the month indicates a naturally prophetic and intuitive person with a strong leaning toward the occult. You tend to conceal your true feelings and as a result are not always understood. Artistically gifted, you can commercialize almost any area of art to which you are inclined. Success can also be enjoyed in the professions, business or the constructive side of politics. You tend to be vacillating and inconsistent, and until you overcome this tendency your affairs will suffer. It's imperative that you learn to concentrate, force your mind into stability and away from a sense of inferiority, self-pity and depression. Your affections are your greatest weakness, and you must always stay on the straight and narrow, for there's a strong tendency to wander from the path that inclines you to preach morals but practice excess. Idealistic and hopeful, you need to work against laziness.

8th, 17th & 26th -Birthdays

8th Day of the Month

A birthday on the eighth day of the month indicates a creative, productive individual with natural business acumen. Progressive and expansive, you deal well in matters of general or public interests, but should avoid equal partnerships because you need to be in a position to make the final decisions. Large businesses, corporations or government are your bailiwick, in any of which you must express honesty and integrity in order to be permanently successful. More fond of books than you are of reading, you're inclined toward large gestures; if you have it, you give great sums of money to institutions or charities. You are somewhat ostentatious and want your family to be a credit to you.

17th Day of the Month

A birthday on the seventeenth day of the month indicates a high minded, proud spirited individual, sometimes liberal, sometimes conservative, generous or stingy, collecting or dissipating. Very set in your ideas, you seldom yield to others; in business you do best at the head of the enterprise, working with under-partners. You execute whatever you do, have a particular talent for managing the interests and affairs of others, and are drawn to dealing in large affairs. The details are for someone else to take care of, since you hate to be bothered with them. You can be successful in any enterprise connected with the earth (e.g., land, mining, oil, livestock), as well as writing, though you are more inclined to technical or historical writing than to fiction. You love knowledge and like to explore. When it comes to spiritual matters, you want proof.

26th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-sixth day of the month indicates an individual with full closets and drawers, for nothing is too small for practical use, and you just know that you'll need it if you get rid of it. You're very introspective and tend to live in the past - to the detriment of the present and future. Although you start many things, you find it hard to finish them, and either rise above or fall below average - as you choose. You can commercialize anything in the artistic lines - except music - in a big way. You can also do well in politics or diplomacy, and should have a good education. You have a beautiful domestic nature, love home and children and are the "marrying kind." Fastidious about your personal belongings and fond of color and show in the clothes you wear, you nonetheless do not insist on physical comforts and are very generous to others.

9th, 18th & 27th -Birthdays

9th Day of the Month

A birthday on the ninth day of the month indicates publicity, distribution, art, broadmindedness and philanthropy (defined in The Wizard of Oz as "good deed doing"). You're interested in metaphysics and relate them to what's going on in the world. Literary, artistic and strong willed, you're a natural ruler who can succeed in almost anything artistic, as well as writing, teaching, law, publishing or the ministry. You need a broad education so that you can better choose your profession. You belong both in and to the world, making it difficult for you to lead a purely personal life successfully. Marriage during the middle portion of your life is likely to end, through death, divorce or some other separation, though the love may remain intact. Yours is a life filled with long journeys and many changes.

18th Day of the Month

A birthday on the eighteenth day of the month indicates a person whose life is filled with change, activity and travel. You may find yourself responsible for the care of groups or communities that will tap your fund of helpfulness. Much is expected of you because much has been given to you: The independence of the 1 and the efficiency of the 8, manifesting to mankind through the 9. Since you don't like to take advice, it's as well that you rarely need it. You're drawn to any large field in need of efficient administration (e.g., law, politics, religion), and although your first efforts may not always succeed, you do succeed on repetition - so try, try again. Somewhat emotional, you are nonetheless intellectual and enjoy both reasoning and arguing. These traits equip you well as a drama critic, writer or speaker. In money matters you are never rash, for you feel the responsibility of handling material assets. Marriages or engagements made during the middle portion of your life are likely to be broken.

27th Day of the Month

A birthday on the twenty-seventh day of the month indicates a more materially inclined individual than those born on the other "9" birthdays (9th and 18th). The 27 is a strong marriage vibration, though the experience may be disappointing. You're forceful, quietly determined but somewhat erratic, a natural leader who cannot be satisfied in a subordinate position. Neither do you like to account for your own conduct. Versatile and artistic, you also have literary talents and could be a journalist, writer, lecturer or teacher. You're ardent in your affections but tend to overdo family traits. Your religious tendencies are toward Eastern beliefs and away from orthodoxy.
