Kalkunte Agraharam (Lord Ranganatha) is located in South of Bangalore in Hoskote Taluk and Bangalore Rural District

Kalkunte Agraharam (Lord Ranganatha)

Kalkunte Agraharam is located in South of Bangalore in Hoskote Taluk and Bangalore Rural District on NH-207,about 35km away from Bangalore city. This village has a mix of population speaking  Kannada,Telugu and Tamil due to the confluence of 3 States, though the education medium is Kannada.

Kalkunte Agraharam (Lord Ranganatha) is located in South of Bangalore in Hoskote Taluk and Bangalore Rural District

Historically Kalkunte has been under the Vijayanagaram Empire later ruled by Magadi Kempegowda and subsequently passed onto the then Maharaja of Mysore.

Kalkunte Agraharam has an old temple dating back to at least 2 Centuries.

The presiding diety in this temple is Lord Sri Ranganatha with his consorts

Sri Ranga Nayaki (Sri Maha Lakshmi) and Sri Andaal popularly called Thaayaars.

This Agraharam was once densely populated by a large Sri Vaishnava community, also known as Iyengaars (until about 60-70 years ago). And a vast of this community has left the village now and are settled all over the World with a majority f them in Bangalore.

The Communities arrival to Kalkunte :

The forefathers of the current generation of the Sri Vaishnava community have hailed from many parts of Tamilnadu. The documented original migrated family is that of the three sons and one daughter of Annadaanam Sri.Venkateshacharya from another Agraharam called DUSI located near Kanchipuram. This place is about 8km away on the Kanchipuram -Tiruvannamalai Road. This migration  must have occurred about 230-270 years ago after the fall of Gingee (Senjy in Tamil) to Hyderali. The then Maharaja of Mysore gave them this village as grant and thus an Agraharam was settled here.

There is a well documented 10 Generations of genealogy-Family Tree of all the three sons of Annadaanam Venkateshacharya. The current Generation is the 10 generation from Annadaanam Venkateshacharya.

Then there were others moving into this village due to relationship by marriage like the Chakravarthis, the Kidaambis now called the Cadaambis in Kalkunte of Kanchipuram. They were joined by the Perumaal Iyengaar family from Sri Rangam – Perumal in the Srivaishnava lingo is Lord Sri Ranganatha of Sri Rangam – the Thogare family from Thogur , there was others like the Gomatam family who were early settlers. Apart from this there is also a group migrated from Torepalli near Hosur with 5-6 generations genealogy since migration.

All of these families have a genealogy of 7-8 generations. Apart from this there were other two families who settled in another village now in Tamil Nadu near Sarjapur called Chicchurakanahalli and Sampangere in Kolar District. These families also had marital relationship with the Kalkunte families and are now settlers of Kalkunte itself. They also have a Genealogy of 8-9 generations.

The early settlers were proficient Vedic Scholars and were dedicated to God.

The Lord Sri Ranganatha :

After settlement in the Agraharam they had established a small Temple for daily worship and the then presiding deity is known to be Lord Srinivasa.Once about 200 years ago the Lord Sri Ranganatha appeared in the dreams of a member of the Perumaal Iyengaar family and instructed to bring him from another nearby village about 15km away called Vokkaleri located in Malur Taluk,Kolar District. It is said that the Lord also appeared in the dream of the Vokkaleri Village head and instructed them to hand over the deity.

The Vokkaleri village was once ruled by Pallava kings and date back to 800A.D with copper plate inscription of that period. The close study of the iconography of the presiding deity Lord Ranganatha indicates this belonging to the Pallava architecture.

This movement of Lord Ranganatha from Vokkaleri to Kalkunte Agrahaaram must have occurred around 200 years back. The Temple was constructed right in the middle of their homes and from a small Sanctum Sanctorum was expanded into the current structure. The Raja Gopuram was built recently during nineteen seventies.

The name of the village Kalkunte is a deformed version of Kalkand ( Kallu Sakkare) According to some and another origin says Kenavil Kanda Perumaal ( The Lord seen in the Dreams). There is also a third origin where there was a Kunte a small water body totally surrounded by Kallu (Stones) located at the entrance of the village.

Today this has been land filled (about 60-70 years ago ) and is behind the Vahana Mantapam. Agraharams in the then Mysore State are the villages granted by the Maharaja for Brahmins to settle down to pursue their Vedic studies and teach spirituality to the entire community. The grant is documented in Venkatagiri Shasanam as per say.

There is a 6 line documentation about Kalkunte Agrahaaram in the Mysore Gazetteer then published by C.Hayavadan Rao in 1923 who had personally visited this village to collect the details.

The other facilities like Paakashala and the Dining Hall was added later as and when these were donated by the families migrating away from the village.

The Poojas in the Temple are conducted as per the PANCHARATRA AAGAMA method and also as per the Vadakalai Sampradayam taught by Sri Vedantha Desikan.

There is a separate sanctum for the Alwar and Aachaaryas consisting of Nammalwaar,

Sri Bhagavad Raamanujacharya and Sri Vedantha Desikan collectively called desikan Sannidhi.

The Phalashruthi for conducting Garudotsavam in Kalkunte Agraharam :

The specialty of this deity is like that of SriRama and Krishna who went in search of their devotees. Sri Rama went to seek devotees like Shabari,Hanumantha, and Vibheeshana etc to the places where they stayed. Similarly Sri Krishna went to seek his devotees like Kubja, Vidhura,Pandavaas etc.Lord SriRanganatha in Kalkunte is also special for his Chaturbhuja Avataaram with Brahma in the Nabhi Kamalam.

The presence of Garuda has a Great significance. Those who are having Sarpa Dosham / Kuja Dosham / Ashlesha Dosham  (Also called Maangalik Dosh in Hindi)  etc can be ridden of all these Dosham completely by performing an Abhishekam to Moolavar  with Garudotsava Sevas.

There is Nithya Pooja conducted in this temple managed by the Sri Ranganatha Swamy Sabha,Regd,Kaklunte – a Trust founded to manage this temple about 100 years ago.

Shirdi Sai Baba - शिरडी के सांई बाबा

Shirdi Sai Baba - शिरडी के सांई बाबा

Sai Baba of Shirdi, also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian spiritual master who is regarded by his devotees as a saint and a fakir. He is revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees during, as well as after his lifetime.

Born: 28 September 1838

Died: 15 October 1918, Shirdi

Nationality: Indian

Buried: Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir, Shirdi

Shirdi is located about 270 kms from Mumbai in India .Shird is called the Land of Sai. Long time ago, at the beginning of eighteenth century a young bearded man ( Shirdi Sai baba) with sparkling eyes took shelter in a mosque, in Shirdi Village (of Maharshtra State, In India) . Nobody knew from where this stranger had come who hardly spoke a word and stayed there.

Gradually the curious villagers started offering food to the man, but he never asked anything from them. Sometimes he shared his food with the animals. Soon the young fakir, as he was started to be addressed, started expressing his view points with few elderly villagers. His simple language of expression and his special power of solving the problems of poor needy and destitutes soon made this less known fakir, known as Shri Sai Baba. As the days passed, devotees started streaming into Shirdi in ever growing numbers. The village was fast becoming a centre of pilgrimage. As gifts and presentations flowed in, the pomp and ceremony of Sai worship were evolving. Everyday Sai Baba would be a pauper having distributed all among the needy and the poor. But Sai Baba's life of a Fakir remained calm, undisturbed, unaltered and therein is the saint's Spiritual glory.

People also realized that this "Baba" was no ordinary person but a person with extraordinary godly powers. Such powers are not known or present in normal human beings. Baba preached his principle of love and faith in humanity to all his disciples. He always felt anguished over the fact that all those who came to him were more for their own personal problems and not for attaining the ultimate goal of reaching God which he felt could be attained only by true servicing of humanity.

Sai baba strongly believed in uniformity of religion and he never distinguished anyone on the basis of caste, creed or religion. He always made it a point not to return empty handed those who had come to him in their hour of need and grief. He performed miracles to alleviate the suffering of poor people. On one occasion he restored the eyes of a blind elderly and in another occasion he lighted a lantern with water when there was no oil to burn it.

As all good things have to end ultimately "Baba" also left his body on his own will on 15th Oct. 1918, leaving his millions of believers and followers crying. His body was laid in the Samadhi Mandir called "Booty", which he had asked his disciple to built before his death.

Sai Baba was Unique, in that, he lived his message through the Essence of his Being. His life and relationship with the common man was his teaching. The lmmense Energy that was manifest in the body of Sai was moving and is still moving in a mysterious way, creating and recreating itself everywhere, beyond the comprehension of time and space.Yet, he lived with the common folk as a penniless fakir, wearing a torn kafni, sleeping over a mat while resting his head on a brick, begging for his food. He radiated a mysterious smile and a deep inward look, of a peace that passeth all understanding. He was always and ever aware of what transpired within the hearts and minds of everyone, whether they be, His devotees or not. This Omnipresent and Omniscient Sri Sai Baba who left his mortal body in 1918, is the living spiritual force that is drawing people from all walks of life, from all parts of the world, into his fold, today.Sri Sai Baba lived, acted and behaved as only a "God descended on Earth" can. He came to serve mankind, to free them from the clutches of fear.

His most concise message for one and all alike was "Why fear when I am here". To take refuge in Sai, is to enter into ajourney to reach the Divine Oasis of Love and drink deep from the Fountain of Life, the source of all Spiritual Energy.Wherever the devotee is, Baba makes him recognize within himself his highest aspirations and goal and at one stroke, his conduct and the attitude to fellow beings is touched with the awareness of love, understanding, patience and faith. This is the promise that Sri Sai Baba holds out to all who come to Him. Sri Sai Baba was beyond the limitations of Time and Space and thus caste, creed, position dogmas and doctrines were fundamentally unimportant to him. Nobody really knew his parentage, where he came from or which religion he practised. He claimed no possessions nor accepted any disciples or gave any specific teaching.

This anonymity lent a strange facet to his interaction with the people who came to him for guidance. To the Hindus he was an orthodox Brahmin, with a sacred fire, enjoining the worship of many gods and the devout study of various Hindu scriptures. He lived in a mosque but always referred to it as "Dwarkamay!" (Lord Krishna's birth place is Dwaraka). To the Moslems he was a fakir living in a mosque observing the disciplines of Islam, uttering "Allah Malik" (God is the master) guiding Muslim seekers along the lines c)f their own religion. To the Parsis he was the sacred rire worshipper. His life was a living manifestation c)f the Sermon of the Christ and of the Eight-fold path of the Buddha.

Sai Baba's attraction and appeal lie in this fact that he was a perfect model of the harmony of all religions, for whom this world - with all its sectarian and religious antagonism, had been waiting. Sai Baba lived to awaken and lead mankind to the varities of spiritual life. He set in motion a wave of spirituality, which is now spreading all over the globe. All his life's activities constituted the upliftment of mankind. By first conferring temporal benefits, he drew unto himself countless souls caught up in ignorance (darkness) and opened their eyes to the true meaning of life. The miracles which manifested through Sai Baba were just such as were needed to create faith in the people and to make his devotees ethically and spiritually better evolved. Baba did not purposefully perform miracles to show his powers. The very strength of his perfect realisation, in its interaction with nature, caused "the miracle" to take place. Thus he drew people from their deluded pursuits after earthly objects of a transitory nature and induced and inspired them to strive for self-realisation. He continued this glorious work until the last moment of his human embodiment in Shirdi.

Amazingly, there are a phenomenally large number of Instances in which Sai Baba has been literally physically appearing before his devotees, even decades after his passing out of the physical body.Sai Baba is constantly and simultaneously proving that he Is alive in spirit and responds to our sincere prayers. He Is the One Spirit of all existence. which is God in all the forms of God, in all the saints, in all the men and in all the creatures. All those who sincerely take to a life of inner development, Sai Baba lifts him to a higher level. Every one derives benefit according to the ripeness o f his soul and in accordance with his inner yearning.Baba assured his devotees by his saying "I am at Shirdi and everywhere. Whatever you do, wherever you may be, ever bear this in mind, that I am always aware of everything". Sai Baba does not belong to any single tradition but to all mankind on the path of goodness, love and understanding.

LIFEPATH PERIODS

THE LIFE PATH PERIODSTHE LIFE PATH PERIODS

The life path has been discussed in very elementary details previously, and the life path period is an addition to this reading that should be taken into account. If we live long enough, we will experience three life path periods. As you progress into this page, think of the readings in terms of a modification or enhancement personalizing the life path reading. These readings do not replace the life path reading, but merely fine tune and customize it to the individual. Because life path periods can vary so widely, the life path we are on becomes complex and motley.

The life periods are based on the birth date. The number representing the month of birth, reduced to a single digit or master number, is the first life path period indicator. The second life path period is determined by the day of birth reduced to a single digit or master number. The final period is based on the year of birth reduced to a single digit or master number.

The timing of the first period begins at birth and continues until at least when in astrological progression the Moon has returned to its original place in the birth chart. This is about 28 years. To estimate the completion of the first period, determine the year that the subject turns 28. Next, calculate the personal year for the subject that year. If it is a 1 personal year, this year should be considered the beginning of the second life path period. If it is a 2 personal year for the subject, the previous year should be considered the beginning of the second life path period. If it is a 3-9 personal year, the beginning of the second life path period will not occur until the beginning of the next nine year cycle, i.e. the next 1 personal year.

This same process should be used to determine the beginning of the third life path period. For this, it is the 1 personal year a year before, on, or after, the 56th birthday.

For example, my birth is month 2, day 8, year 1939/22. Thus, I would be 28 in 1967 (1939+28-1967) which would be a 6 personal year for me. The next, 1968 would be 7 personal year; 1969 an 8 personal year, and 1970 a 9 personal year. The year 1971 would be my next 1 personal year making this the year that my life path period changed to 8. In 1995, a 7 personal year for me, I turned 56. My next number 1 personal year came in 1998. This then was the beginning of my third life path period.

These links will take you to the three periods, early years, productive years, and later years, for each of numbers:

1 Life Path Period

Early years: In this period you will show a stronger tendency toward independence. Originality and creativity come early and continue through this period. You have the ability to lead early on, but at a time when the emphasis is on learning to follow, this can be a problem. You do have a good deal of early self-confidence and individuality which can help you achieve early successes. You are aggressive in your early career path.

Productive years: In this period you will have more drive and determination thanks to the 1 life path period. If you have other indicators that you would do well in business for yourself, this life path period would be time to move in that direction. Your demeanor now is highly independent and leadership skills are sharpened. The potential pitfalls here are letting ego go a little out of control and perhaps showing a lack of patience at times.

Later years: New challenges may continue to appear even in your later years. In this period you may achieve the recognition that eluded you earlier, and this may mean it will be hard to kick back and take life easy. A 1 life path period does not lend itself to early retirement and leisure activities. Indeed, this may become the most active time of your life.

2 Life Path Period

Early years: This is a difficult life path period for a young child since it suggests that emotions may run high and sensitivities to many things may be present. On the positive side, this influence may be helpful for developing any artistic talents. The 2 period may be one in which you will be required to be helpful, supportive, and willing to adapt in general. A tendency to have emotional reactions to problems and confrontation may follow you into early adulthood.

Productive years: The 2 lifepath period suggests that you will profit from your ability to work together with others in harmony and cooperation. In these years your ability to use skills in diplomacy and mediation will be pronounced. The affairs of others and their success may be the key to your own advancement. Pushing your own agenda doesn't work as well now. The need is to control hyperactive emotions that may appear from time to time.

Later years: The 2 lifepath period in the later years promises a good retirement with many friends and opportunities. Your influence now will be based on your ability to bring together diverse opinions and ideas. Friends and family, and especially a close relationship is all important to your happiness now. Having close connections is vital to your health and wellbeing in your senior years.

3 Life Path Period

Early years: The 3 is an excellent lifepath period for a young person because of its inclination toward the development of expression. Any talents you may have in creative or artistic endeavors are encouraged during this period. Emotions may be high and hyperactive tendencies can be present. Making friends and enjoying social interactions will come easily now. Enjoy life as this is the tone of the 3 period, but be careful not to scatter your activities to the point that you fail to make progress on anything.

Productive years: This is likely to be a very pleasant, carefree and creative time in your life. Being original and using your talents of expression will find you furthering your career and your life in general. If there is a pitfall during this time it is becoming overly optimistic and extravagant, and spreading your talents too thin. In all this is a period that offers much happiness in exchange for a minimum of planning and concentration.

Later years: A 3 period in later life suggests an active social life with numerous hobbies and activities. If you are a creative person, this late life period may become your most prolific and fruitful. Indeed, this may be the time to write that book you have thought about, a time to learn a new method of expression perhaps, or simply let your imagination run free. Enjoy yourself, it won't be that terribly hard now.

4 Life Path Period

Early years: A 4 life path period is not much fun for a young person. It suggests that learning is difficult or the demands placed upon you to learn were harsh and burdensome. Now you have to build a solid foundation and the tone is one of learning practicality, order, and routine. Often this period denotes growing up with limited resources or restrictions of some sort. The demands often set the stage for later successes. You are to be very well prepared to start your career in early adulthood.

Productive years: This period is a time to build and develop ideas into a tactile form. Now is a time that you become more of a builder, a better organizer, and perhaps even a more stable and secure person. Your judgment and decisions take on more conservatism and practicality, and they are based on careful and more thoughtful planning. You are apt to be more serious about your work and perhaps devote more time to it, too. Be careful not to become a workaholic. With a 4 lifepath period you must be constantly reminded to take the time to smell the roses.

Later years: The 4 period in the later years suggests a period that predicts work rather than retirement. Whether by choice or by necessity, you are apt to keep your nose to the grindstone a lot longer than most of your peers. Even if you do retire, you will want to keep working on hobbies and avocation long after others have opted for the rocking chair. If you own your own business, it may be hard to accept that fact that things can run without your ever present attention.

5 Life Path Period

Early years: The 5 period early in life can be difficult because it often lacks the stability and certainty that you may wish for. This period often features changes and emphases freedom of thought and activity. You are likely to be constantly looking for something new, something exciting, something less boring to stimulate your expansive mind. During this time you will be an explorer and a wanderer. Whether this is a positive or a negative trait only time will tell. At any rate you are driven by curiosity and adventure. A restless nature often results, and as you progress into adulthood, a number of job or career changes may occur.

Productive years: In this period you are ever ready to accept change, progress, and new ideas. Likewise you are quick, some times too quick, to dump the old, old jobs, old activities, even old relationships. Sometimes this is good, sometime not so good. At any rate this 5 period suggests that you are more impulsive now and the test will be to see if you can handle the increased freedom you are feeling with constructive judgment. If so, you will find this is a period that can and should produce remarkable results.

Later years: With the 5 period occurring late in life, be prepared for a never ending series of adventures and expansive travel so long as the resources hold out. Actually, however, many with a late life 5 period choose to continue to work because of the sense of freedom found in their endeavors now; so long as the work is not boring or routine, there may be no reason to quit. This influence will continue to send you off to find new challenges and try new things. You are never too old to learn.

6 Life Path Period

Early years: The 6 period produces a need to be needed, and you probably want to help your parents or your brothers, sisters, and friends in whatever way you can. In some cases, this period is one in which the subject is required or somehow forced to take on more than a normal amount of responsibility at an early age. Generally, this early time in the life is marked by obvious attempts to be helpful and even nurturing to others. In early adulthood there is a strong sense of responsibility and caring.

Productive years: Through these years you will find yourself getting ahead only after you have made the personal sacrifices necessary to benefit others in need. Much of your life in this period will tend to be centered around your home and family. This is not a period that lends itself to dramatic enrichment because you tend to be more selfless and less demanding of personal rewards. Your opportunities may be as an idealist, a mediator, and perhaps even a leader in your community. Certainly the focus of the period is associated with family and domestic concerns.

Later years: The 6 period late in life is usually a happy and content time. It denotes a tendency to accept responsibility and lend a helping hand to those around you. You are not likely to be lonely in your later years since family and domestic matters will probably be emphasized during this time. Indeed, you may help or even be responsible for rearing a grandchild or two.

7 Life Path Period

Early years: If there is a problem with the 7 period in early life it is being misunderstood or considered "difficult." In this period you may have the sense that you are different from your peers. You repel conformity. The 7 period makes you inclined to seek and absorb learning as a primary focus. The fact that you don't feel very comfortable in your environment is to be expected. Your natural curiosity and inquisitive mind will take you far during this period.

Productive years: The 7 period in the productive years is excellent for one continuing studies and analysis into mid life. The tendency is to strive for mental growth and development and you are apt to be in the process of expanding your areas of interest now. This period is a plus if you are engaged in academic pursuits, but otherwise progress may be slow. It is hard to force yourself to seek opportunity now, and if you do, it will probably be to no avail. Perhaps it will come to you if you get prepared.

Later years: When the 7 period occurs in later life you may find yourself engaged in study as never before in your life. This period may find you writing more, engaged in some form of research, or venturing into new and interesting subjects. This is not a very social period and indeed there is concern that you may become increasingly isolated by your own choosing.

8 Life Path Period

Early years: An 8 period in early life stresses the practical and the material. This is not the stuff of a good childhood experience as it may tend to elevate the importance of material success at an inappropriate age. For the less affluent, there may be too much interest in achieving material goals. This period may have its positive side in preparing a relatively young person for financial and material success. You may go into business early in life with the tools to succeed.

Productive years: The 8 lifepath period in the productive years may push you to a level of success that would not have otherwise been attained. This period denotes a time when attainment, authority, and general business acumen is brought to foreground. You will want to set your goals high and do everything in a big way. If you have the inherent management abilities, this period will accelerate your prestige and attainments.

Later years: With the 8 lifepath period in later life, it is suggested that your greatest achievements may be yet to come. If all you have lacked before is good management, now may be your time to shine. In retirement you may find yourself deeply involved in clubs, organizations and perhaps government entities. Your contribution to these can be important for your sense of accomplishment and for your social life at this time.

9 Life Path Period

Early years: The 9 lifepath is difficult for a young person because so much is expected of them in terms of feeling compassion and tolerance. The youthful years are by nature selfish years and the 9 period stifles this sense of being self absorbed. While the upbringing under this influence can be helpful in the future, often the period brings periods of feeling lonely, unappreciated and unsure of self. The lesson of the 9 is that life is universal rather than personal, and thus, those with this early path may have a head start.

Productive years: With the 9 in the productive years you may find yourself becoming more of a humanitarian. You may find it easier to express compassion, sympathy, understanding and tolerance while in this period. This can be an emotional cycle and one of significant personal growth. You may be called on to overcome disappointments and setbacks, but the potential for gain in this period is significant.

Later years: The 9 period in the later years generally signifies a settled and happy life at this juncture. You are inclined to positive feelings toward the world, and you will want to share your experiences to a greater extent. You may engage in many positive works benefiting mankind or just a few needy souls in your immediate environment. The lesson of the number is learning to give without expecting to get something back. If you have learned this by this time, this period may well be the best part of your life.

11 Life Path Period

Early years: This master number is generally not attainable by a very young person and it is usually best to consider this a 2 lifepath period early on. As a young adult, you may find yourself drawn toward spiritual matters and idealism. Indeed, in this period you are inclined to act as an idealist, perhaps studying religion, metaphysics, or philosophy. Modest goals during this period will serve you best, as being too aggressive will result in problems with stress and nerves.

Productive years: In the productive years the 11 lifepath period will serve you best in any spiritual pursuit, but you may find yourself being a little out of touch with the business world. If your life has been a material one up to now, this period may cause some redirection. If you have inclinations to teach, to heal, to uplift, this is period when these lofty goals can come to fruit. This period can be a hard one if you find yourself under pressure and stress. Nervous tension can be a periodic problem.

Later years: In retirement or at least the later years, the 11 lifepath period may direct you toward a more spiritual conclusion. In these years you will be able to find more time for study and reflection, expanding your mind and broadening your thinking. This redirection may push you into a more spiritual way of thinking and definitely away from the material side of life. For some who reject the idea of spiritualism, the "Later years 2" reading may be more definitive.

22 Life Path Period

Early years: There is no early 22 lifepath period since there is no 22 month.

Productive years: The 22 period during the productive years can send you sailing up the ladder. If you are properly prepared and adequately equipped, this period may find you being placed in charge of big projects, accomplishing huge achievements, and functioning or striving for a spot at the top of the heap. The number 22 is the master builder. Having the period doesn't necessarily make you a master builder, but it does produce the flow of events that will certainly speed you on the road to success. This is a time to follow your hunches as you assume greater responsibility and capitalize on opportunities. Keep nerves and emotions under control as these can be a problem during this period.

Later years: Many with the 22 period in later life never do retire or if they do, that retirement is never one that is complete leisure. Nervous energy may keep you on the go. This period may well be your most accomplished as events of the time may indeed set you up for big projects and major achievements. Keep occupied in these years and don't shy away from the main stage of life.

YOUR INNER DREAMS (consonants ) - secret dream, your inner desires, or maybe even fantasies.

Inner DREAMS

YOUR INNER DREAMS (consonants )

The sum of the consonants in your name relates a secret dream, your inner desires, or maybe even fantasies. As a modifier, this aspect of your chart may be considered less important than many of the others because often these remote and deep-seated dreams are never realized. Sometimes, however, when this number has a relationship to another core number, the dream can come true. Strangely, this number is also associated with your personality or how people see you on first meetings. This number may be so strong in your subconscious that you even project the trait as a personality mask.

Here's a chart showing the value of the consonants:

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
-- B C D -- F G H --
J K L M N -- P Q R
S T -- V W* X Y* Z --

* Don't count W or Y as a consonant if it is been used as a vowel in the name.

If the consonants in your name add up to:

1...You dream of being a leader and one who is in charge. You want to be known for your courage, daring, and original ideas. You seek unconquered heights. People may get a first impression that you are very aggressive and sure of yourself.

2...You dream of close and meaningful relationships, cooperation with those around you; family and friends. You want to be a peacemaker and mediator. You present an image that you are a very pliable and easygoing person who would be very easy to get along with.

3...You dream of artistic expression; writing, painting, music. You would seek to more freely express your inner feeling and obtain more enjoyment from life. You also dream of being more popular, likable, and appreciated.

4...You dream of being a very solid citizen that people can depend upon. You strive for organization and predictable order. You want to be recognized as a person with a plan and the discipline to make that plan work like clockwork.

5...You dream of being totally free and unrestrained by responsibility. You see yourself conversing and mingling with the natives in many nations, living for adventure and life experiences. You imagine what you might accomplished.

6...You dream of guiding and fostering the perfect family in the perfect home. You crave the devotion from offspring and a loving spouse. You picture yourself in the center of a successful domestic unit.

RELATIONSHIP ANALYSIS

Finding or Understanding a Partner using Numerology

The concept of using numerology to estimate the potential for longterm compatibility with a prospective partner is a surefire way increase your odds for a good relationship. Looking to numerology is also a good way to address problems in an existing relationship, and gain new understanding.

Finding or Understanding a Partner using NumerologyThat said, I want to make it clear that while some numbers seem to blend together easily and with little friction, and other numbers seem to be rubbing against the grain for you, there are no absolutes or ideals that you should be seeking. You can use the guide below to quickly compare two individual Lifepath numbers and the Destiny or Expression numbers, or any of the other numbers in the profile for that matter. While some may wish to carry this further and compare other factors in the respective profiles, and many numerologists do, my sense is that these two important numbers should be the focus of your investigation.

The most important number in your comparison is the Lifepath number. If you haven't learned how to calculate and understand the meaning of the Lifepath, It is important to build a relationship with a partner having a Lifepath compatible with your own because for both individuals, the Lifepath number shows the natural inclinations at birth and the set of traits that will always be present in you and in your prospective partner. You must act on these traits to attain a sense of self-worth and happiness. For example, the Lifepath 3 is one that emphasizes expression, sociability, and creativity as the natural mode of activity for its native. When these traits are highly valued by the Lifepath of the partner, such traits are readily supported and living together as a couple is facilitated. When these numbers are not in harmony, some degree of compromise will be necessary for both individuals to maintain a comfort zone and sense of general happiness.

Next in importance is the Expression or Destiny number which is the number calculated from your full birth name. If you are not familiar which converting your name to a single digit number. The Expression number defines the direction in life and what you must strive to attain.

*note: For the purposes of evaluating relationships, master numbers 11 and 22 are reduced to 2 and 4 respectively.

Your comparison chart might look like this:

A comparison of:
1st
individual
2nd
individual
Quality - Very compatible, compatible, neutral, or challenged
Lifepath - Natural characteristics, talents, and traits based on your date of birth.

Destiny - Direction in life; what you must achieve or become based on your full birth name.

While this gives an instance glance at the degree of compatibility or challenge in the relationship, it is probably wise to take this a step further and attempt to gain some insight into the actual blending, or failing to blend, of the numbers. The following notes discuss the possibilities of these encounters:

1 and 1: Two people with a strong desire to lead, and, two people who want very much to be independent. Two 1s in a relationship understand and accept each other perhaps better than any other number can understand the 1. This is a relationship not without pitfalls as the match can get dicey when they start to compete. But for the most part, it is a good one filled with excitement and activity.

1 and 2: Two very different people who do well if they remember their roles. The 1 is best equipped to be the breadwinner, and the 2 will be the one to feather the nest and keep the warmth of romance alive and well. The 1 must avoid being distracted and never forget how important attention is for the 2 partner.

1 and 3: This is a very lively couple that seem to shamelessly enjoy life and each other. The 3 is good at acknowledging the 1 accomplishments and stroking the ego. The 3 provides the ideas and the 1 provides the push, so this couple can cover a lot of ground. Yet they have to be careful about what they say since neither handles criticism very well.

1 and 4: 4's desire for control is a tough sell on the 1. The 1's need to make things happen now, frustrates the meticulous 4. Opposites in many ways, these two should not expect easy compromise. If they ever can accept one another for who they are, their respective strengths will make a solid relationship.

1 and 5: This is a very compatible combination as both of these numbers are ones that like to have a lot of freedom in a relationship. The drive for independence is paramount for each. They may be so busy with their own "thing" that time together is limited, very special, and often exciting. As you might expect, the most serious threat is when either tries to impose his or her will on the other.

1 and 6: This is a power struggle waiting to happen. The 6 wants and needs to a caretaker. The 1 has an absolute need to be independent and unrestrained. This can be a successful pairing only if they can work past this roadblock, and give each other the support they both need.

1 and 7: These are very different energies but ones that somehow blend nicely. The 7 provides wise insights while the 1 becomes a needed motivator. The key is to understand the tendencies; the 1 can get too busy with the outer world to always be there for the 7, and the 7 can be too into their own world to be there for the 1. Neither should take this absence personally.

1 and 8: From a business standpoint, this is a good match. But from the love angle, it is questionable at best. Both are so assertive and demanding, that expectations can far exceed reality. Negative feedback from either will be deadly in this pairing. Success depends on a open and mutual willingness to compromise and limit demands.

1 and 9: The 9 brings a selflessness to the relationship which allows the 1 to operate in an environment that is understanding and smooth flowing. The 1 will have to learn to share the partner who is inclined to extend a giving nature outside the home. If there is trouble in this partnership it will generally come from the 9s difficulty tolerating the 1's assertive and individualistic behavior.

2 and 2: A great match of two souls both needing to give and receive love. Experts at mediation, they have little difficulty finding common ground on just about any issue that arises. The only word of caution for this pairing is that they must each remember how thin their own skin is so as to not cause verbal injury to the other. Generally this is not a problem because of their polite manner and mutual respect.

2 and 3: These are potentially very good partners because of the good humor and good chemistry. The 3 is always "on stage" and full of life and social energy, while the 2 is happy as a lark standing back and enjoying the show. The 2 balances the needs of the 3 by providing a soothing and calming influence.

2 and 4: This is a steady pairing resulting in comfort personified. When it comes to home and family, the 4 is the ultimate builder and provider. Security is 4's forte. Nothing is more appealing to the 2 than home, hearth, and family. The only difficulty likely here is one of perception. The 2 needs love to be shown and always physically apparent, and the 4 is sometimes not so demonstrative.

2 and 5: The 2 needs family and an ever present sense of being loved, and the 5 need total freedom to pursue whatever avenues appear on the horizon. This is one where the chemistry has to be very strong in order for the two very different souls to forge some significant compromises. Obviously, these two can provide a lot that may otherwise be missing, but it won't be an easy road.

2 and 6: This is another good love match. The 6 ranks first in family while the 2 tops the chart in love and caring. Still the pair need to watch their Ps and Qs as the 6 has a surprising need for approbation, and 2's thin skin can suffer with the direct and demanding approach that sometimes characterizes the 6. Considerations of feelings is a must.

2 and 7: This is a couple that has some strong and dissimilar needs. The 2's need for demonstrative love and 7's need for a good deal of space and solitude make this a pairing that will work only if both can stay tuned in to the other's needs and be willing to cater to them at least to some degree. Generally the 2 will have to find something to occupy much of the time that would otherwise be devoted to the mate.

2 and 8: A pairing that usually works very well because it is likely that each has a clear vision of their role. The 8 is about the outer world of business and attainment, taking care of the financial needs of the family. The 2 takes care of the family and is there to pamper the ego of their partner. A pitfall in this relationship can occur if the 8 fails to sufficiently value the labors of the 2. Generally, this is the classic traditional family model, or in the case of the male 2, female 8, the classic male/female role reversal.

2 and 9: These two can have a wonderful relationship or it can be not so wonderful. The 2 needs constant attention, and certainly the 9 is a caring individual. But the care they naturally possess is spread to all humanity and often it is not focused enough at home. The 9 is a natural leader and the 2 is a natural follower, so there is always hope. The 9 needs to remember that the 2 hates to be alone, and the 2 needs to be forewarned that the 9's love will only stretch so far.

3 and 3: Wild and interesting describes this pairing of two with so much creative and social potential. No one has more fun that a pair of 3s who understand and support one another. The question may become who is going to take care of the mundane. The pitfall of this relationship comes when neither partner can hold on to reins of practical everyday details.

3 and 4: When the spontaneous 3 pairs with the micro-manager 4, something has to give, and often it won't. The 3 will take each day as it comes while the 4 has to have a definite plan far into the future. If the two can ever figure out how to meet in the middle, they will do a good job of balancing each other's shortcomings. The 3 will show the 4 how to have fun while the 4 can give the 3 a needed sense of security.

3 and 5: This is one of the most social combination you will find. The two will generally find each other very interesting and their ability to entertain will be never ending. Social opportunities, travel, and numerous activities promise this relationship won't get boring. Both are creative by nature, yet neither excels at managing the budget, so everyday affairs can cause problems sometimes.

3 and 6: This is a natural combination that works well in most cases. The 3 is full of enthusiasm and ideas, and the 6 provides the stability, support, and encouragement that often makes this combination an idea team in many ways. The chemistry here is very strong and durable. The challenge of this combination can come in the form of 6 jealous feelings toward the oft flirtatious 3. Usually it will be the 6 who will have to learn to deal with an inborn trait.

3 and 7: These two are about as different as people get. The 3 wants to be constantly on the go with a swirl of activity, travel, and social contact that the 7 will find intolerable. The 7 needs solitude and can only take so much human contact before retreating to their preferred peace and quiet. Confrontation in this pairing never works well, and it will be up to both to understand the long-term need for compromise. The key to success here is open dialog regarding wants, needs, and goals.

3 and 8: This is a combination that requires extra effort mostly because of the departure of needs. The 8 needs goals and authority to feel happy, and efforts focused here leave the 3 without needed attention and stimulation. The secret to success in this combination, if there is one, is frequent getaways; periods when the 3 gets the 8 away from business and relaxed enough to have some fun. There isn't much frivolity in the 8, and this can sometimes be a tough sale.

3 and 9: This is a wonderful combination of two people who are apt to keep each other endlessly engaged in a variety of creative ways. Both like to be on stage and both are interested in people. They care about people and the 9 can be generous to a fault. The 9 is the teacher and the 3 is the ever eager student. Sharing experience is a never ending joy of this pairing. The problem the couple faces is settling down, feathering a nest, and keeping the bills paid. Even after they are settled and set, romantic adventures will always be important.

4 and 4: The keywords for this combination are solid and secure. For individuals who need to know that the bills are paid and future is totally secure, who better to fill this need than another 4. These two will share goals that they work for and nearly always achieve. Success is measured by a sense that growth is continual and this includes love and romance. The down side of this pairing, if there is one, is the sense that nothing is ever completely okay. It's hard to relax , be spontaneous, and enjoy the moment and each other. Nonetheless, there are few relationships destined to be more stable than this one.

4 and 5: Challenge. The 4 and the 5 have different temperaments and different ways of communicating. The 4 is very direct to the point, while the 5 will be more diplomatic and indirect. 4s don't like change, and 5s have to have it. To find success, this couple will need to respect the difference and pay attention to what is said and what is inferred.

4 and 6: A comfortable match of traditional types, this pairing has promise from the very beginning. Chances are the 6 will want to take the lead in this relationship, and a secure home and family are all that is needed to produce a satisfying long-term situation. The challenge of this relationship is compromise. Neither is very good at this.

4 and 7: This is a relationship that has a serious tone about it and may be driven by a mutual need for security. It is loyal and devoted, even it it may lack the fire and passion of some combinations. The 4 is a natural provider of rock solid security and home values. The 7 provides a quest for continued mental development and adventure. The combination makes life both secure and yet more interesting for both.

4 and 8: This is a comfortable pairing because both parties understand hard work and have a good head for business and getting ahead in the world. The 4 is the cautious planner, while the 8 has a more grandiose approach to endeavors. The only problem probably can be one of finding the time to spend together in a quest for romance. Yet this is a couple that knows how to build for the future and develop a very secure relationship.

4 and 9: These two are so very different that successful pairings are rare. The 9 is far more social and fosters deep humanitarian instincts. The 4 is focused on the basics of building a secure and solid immediate world. To succeed in a relationship requires both to be aware of how different their approaches are, and somehow muster a willingness to accept. The 4 will certainly appreciate the 9's knowledge and intelligence, and the 9 must likewise value the 4's ruthless consistency.

5 and 5: A pair of 5s is a very compatible couple who prize their freedom to be different and adventuresome. Few others will be as open to the constant flow of new ideas and changes so common in the 5. In this relationship, partners easily anticipate what the other is thinking and where they are going. And they also have a sense for staying out of the way and accepting the freewheeling lifestyle. 5s choosing to support one another can do just about anything. The difficulty with this pairing is focus, and there may be a problem handling the mundane day-to-day affairs.

5 and 6: This is a combination requiring great compromise since the 5 thrives on freedom and space, and the 6 is noted for exerting control and nurturing supervision. The 6 wants complete commitment, and the 5 is looking for adventure and new horizons. In a relationship, they would probably be good for each other if they could find a way to meet somewhere near the middle. They must avoid any tendency to become entrenched in positions that just won't work for the other.

5 and 7: This is a relationship which is more or less free of rules and procedures. In some ways, these two are much alike and the relationship is generally very compatible. The 7 values the time to be alone and enjoy the world of study and reflection in their private space. At the same time, the 5 has plenty going on and appreciates not having demands for attention being the paramount feature of the relationship. Yet these two can get together and find a never ending stream of mutual interests to discuss and explore.

5 and 8: This is a relationship between two individuals who don't always follow the rules, and they might find themselves locking horns on the rules of a relationship. The 8 is used to being the boss and dominating most situations. The 5 seeks freedom from any restraints. The 8 is focused on success, particularly in a financial sense, and the 5 doesn't even want to think about money. It will take careful planning and compromise to make this relationship work.

5 and 9: This is a relationship between two who may find it hard to work the relationship into their busy schedules. Both of these numbers represent people who are apt to be in a constant state of transition and change. In this regard they have much in common and will generally find each other very interesting, for the moment or for the long haul. The compassion of the 9 and progressive thinking of the 5 seems to blend well. Establishing a commitment to security is a must.

6 and 6: This is a combination charged with romance, but in essence it is rather practical by nature. Home and family is second nature here, and these will be the top priorities for sure. This is a very compatible pairing. The 6 knows what's best for their partner, so they do a good job of taking care of each other, and a family is a must. Yet the 6 by its nature wants the whole family under his/her thumb, so the challenge may be in agreeing who is going to be charge. The circumstances of the relationship will usually be able to sort this out.

6 and 7: These are two very different people with very different ideas about a relationship. The 6 is openly interested in a permanent situation complete with a stable home and family. With the secretive 7, it is hard to tell what the goal might be, and only time will tell. Despite the sexual attraction that may be present, this is a very challenged combination. The 6 is too controlling, and the 7 just isn't to be closely managed. The compromises required in this relationship really bend and manipulate the natural traits of both numbers.

6 and 8: This is a very positive and compatible relationship of two who are usually open and positive in most that they do. This is a couple with big ideas, and their ideas are usually brought to reality in grand fashion. The home will provide plenty of space for family, work, and frequent entertaining of their many friends. A down side to the relationship can occur if the possessive 6 has to compete too much with the business interests of the 8. Likewise, the 8 will be frustrated when the demands at home cramp the executive lifestyle and obligations.

6 and 9: This is generally a very compatible relationship prospect as the 9 is one of the few numbers to gain 6's utmost respect. In a family situation, the 6 is unsurpassed as a manager, and the 9 is never reticent in heaping praise in recognition. This often creates a mutual admiration environment that provides a happy home for both partners. The 6 helps the 9 stay focused on details and common sense issues, while the 9 broadens the 6's outlook and sense of the world at large. The expansiveness of this pairing may suggest the need to keep a close eye on the budget.

7 and 7: This is one situation in which no one understands the eccentricities of a 7 nearly as well as another 7. Thus, this is a very compatible pairing. With the right attitude, this couple will find the interest to freely explore the world together, or spend their days in happy solitude together. Chances are you are on the same psychic wavelength, so you will surely catch the signals as they flash by. The downside of this pairing is the tendency to not communicate, so an effort may have to be made to keep the lines open and operating.

7 and 8: This is a combination that seems to work well physically, but one which is plagued with problems on the emotional level. The 8 has a tendency to dominate and control, and the 7 is a very private person prone to resist attempts to exert authority. The power of both numbers can result in frequent verbal battles. Yet there is a stability factor in the pairing that makes long-term success a possibility if accommodations can be reached.

7 and 9: This couple is anything but neutral in their affiliation. They are listed neutral because the relationship can go either way depending largely on spiritual beliefs. Both have strong spiritual inclinations and deeply held positions. However, these views of the spiritual and God often divide along rigidly held lines. In such cases, compromise is usually not an option. When the spiritual positions are in harmony, this can be a very compatible combination.

8 and 8: This pairing might be known as the "Dynamic Duo" as this is a combination that is full of passion and romance. Indeed, this pairing is a strong and enduring match- up. Yet both partners will be easily distracted by the events in their life as goals and professional demands often supersede romantic possibilities. Solid as the relationship probably is, the couple may have a hard time communicating the depth of feeling in either word or deed. Guard against competing with one another, and getting caught up in schedules and the demands of work. Make time for each other and always focus on being equal partners.

8 and 9: This is a challenging combination in which two highly motivated individuals - motivated in very different ways - find it hard to accept the ways of the other. In general the goals of the 9 are lofty and may have a humanitarian bend, while the 8 seeks the reward that comes with development of leadership and material success. To have much of a chance, the 8 will have to appreciate the lessons that can be learned from their generous partner. When they are able to work as a team, this is a powerful and often inspirational pair. Too often, however, the combination fails to click.

9 and 9: This relationship has much promise as it usually engages two charismatic types possessing much intellectual stimulation. The nature of the 9 is selfless, so this combination usually faces few challenges; each wanting to please the other and always be there for each other. A relationship offering the opportunity to grow, learn, and serve, this is often an inspiring combination.
