An Amazing Miracle Of Lord Venkateswara Of Tirumala Tirupati

An Amazing Miracle Of Lord Venkateswara Of Tirumala Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India.

An Amazing Miracle Of Lord Venkateswara Of Tirumala Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India.

This truly amazing and the most unbelievable miracle occurred almost three and half decades ago at the holy abode of Lord Sri Venkateswara of the Tirumala Tirupati temple, that’s located on a hilltop,in the Southern part of India…

This great miracle still surprises many and is still a mystery to many so called atheists of our modern world.. This miracle not only endorses the divine existence of God but it also very emphatically approves our faith in Him…

But Where Is Tirumala Temple And Who Is Lord Sri Venkateswara ??

Located on a hilltop,853 meters above the main sea level,Tirumala (Tiru means holy and Mala means hill) is a major pilgrimage center near the Tirupati town in the Chittor district of Andhra Pradesh,India...Spread over an area of 10.33 square miles, the Tirumala hill shrine consists of seven hills namely Seshadri, Neeladri, Garudadri, Anjanadri, Vrishabhadri, Narayanadri and Venkatadri…

The main temple of Tirumala Tirupati lies on the seventh hill called Venkatadri, which is why this holy Tirumala Temple is also called “The Temple Of Seven Hills”…Lord Sri Venkateswara, also known as Balaji and Govinda,is the presiding deity of this holy temple…

Today,if we go by the available statistics, about thirty to forty million pilgrims, from all over the world, visit this holy temple every year making Lord Sri Venkateswara the most worshiped Hindu God in the world and Tirumala the most visited place of worship…

With its annual revenue running into billions of Indian rupees,Tirumala is also the richest pilgrimage center of faith in the modern world..

The Amazing Miracle

This truly amazing miracle occurred,in the holy temple of Tirumala,on the mid night of 7th November,1979…

At that time, right from a street urchin to the holy Lord, the whole of Tirumala was in a very deep sleep…All the otherwise busy streets of the holy temple town were wearing a vacant look..

Except an occasional sound here and there, the whole of the Tirumala hill shrine was filled with absolute silence..

And exactly during that dark hour…

Breaking all the silence…

This miracle occurred and occurred quite suddenly taking the entire hill shrine of Tirumala by surprise.

Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Appalayagunta Village

The Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy temple is located at a distance of about 14 KM's, from the temple town Tirupati. This makes the temple adequately separated from the main temple town, but still easily reachable through private or public travels. It stands apart from the other entire temple in the sense, at which it depicts the Lord Venkateswara Swamy in the 'Abhaya Hasta Posture’, which is considered the ultimate blessing posture. The Lord's blissful posture is pleasant and rewarding for a devotee who wants to divulge deep into the Swami's realms.

Significance of Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple

This is the place where the Lord Venkateswara Swamy graced the conglomeration of Sri Siddeshwara and other sages on the occasion of his marriage. As the temple was the place for the Lord's union with his consort Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, here he is considered the most pleasant and granting. The temple has tremendous powers at liberating one from dosha's concerned with physical, psychological and career misfortunes. The grandiose Vayu Bhagavan's idol located in the temple is also a powerful source, which liberates one from various chronic illnesses of kalyuga.

Special occasions at Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple

The Friday Abhishekam is one of the most important significant occasions at the Temple.

The most important festival in the temple is Srivari Annual Bramhostavam which is being celebrated in the month of Jyesta (May/June) for a period of 10 days.

The other annual festivals/rituals are Ugadi, Rathasaptami, Depavali, AnivaraAsthanam and Vaikunta Ekadasi, which are celebrated once in a year in a princely manner.

Another annual festival's occurring at the temple are Ugadi, Rathasaptami, Depavali, AnivaraAsthanam and VaikuntaEkadasi festivals.

As the name indicates the 'Kalyanotsavam' this is the occasion when the Lord along with his consorts Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi and Sri Goda Devi brings great celebration and delight. This is an excellent preparatory to-be-married person to advance for a fruitful relationship. This also removes any hardships that you could be facing in your existing married life.

Legend/Purana of the Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple

After the much chronicled marriage of Lord Venkateswara to Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru, the Swami bestowed his divine blessings on the congregation of Sri Siddeshwara and other sages. Those sages on the merit of their holy lives were honored by lord's blessings on that divine day.  It is also a belief that Lord Venkateswara had rested here during his voyage returning to Tirumala.

Another specialty of this temple is the enduring form of Lord Perumal, devoted to the oneness of Shiva-Vishnu worship.  Hence all the special occasions related to Shiva, is also observed at great devotion.

Another captivating aspect of the temple is its glorious architecture, which allows Darshan through the door's on the Vaikunda Ekadasi day.

The temple has been constructed by the Rajas of Karvetinagar and consists shrine of Lord Anjaneya Swamy. The imposing image of the wind-god is worshipped by devotees for relief from chronic diseases. The temple also contains idols of Goddess Padmavathi and Smt Andal Devi within the temple

Tallapaka village is in Rajampet mandal of Cuddapah district, about 3 km from Cuddapah town. The village has the distinction of being the birthplace of Saint Annamacharya, the famous composer of devotional songs on Lord Venkateswara who made invaluable contribution to music and literature during the 15th century.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) constructed a "Dhyana Mandiram" (meditation hall) in memory of the great Saint Annamacharya, at Tallapaka. It was inaugurated in 1982 and ever since then the TTD has been organizing the death and birth anniversaries of Annamacharya at Tallapaka and Tirupati during which special rituals are performed.

Close to the Annamacharya temple is the Chennakeswaraswamy temple in Cuddapah district. There are many temples located within the premises of the Chennakeswaraswamy temple itself. A unique temple within this temple premise is that of the Sudarashanachakra containing the idol of the Sudarashanachakra of Lord Vishnu as well as that of Lord Santanagopalakrishna together. The temple is the only one of its kind in South India. It is believed that one such temple also exists in Kasi. Another temple is that of Lord Hanuman, the loyal devotee of Lord Rama. The temple of Lord Garuthmanthudu (Garuda, the vehicle of Lord Vishnu) is also located in the premises of the Chennakeswaraswamy temple. It contains the idol of Lord Garuda which is rarely found.

The Siddheswaraswamy temple with Lord Shiva as its presiding deity is also located in Tallapaka, in Cuddapah district. The side wall of the temple has a hole through which sun rays enter during the month of Karthik, a holy time in November when married women pray for the long life of their husbands and give offerings to the Lord.

Unlike the usual temples where Lord Nandiswara (the Bull, Shiva's vehicle) is found facing Lord Shiva, here it is found outside the temple. Goddess Kamakshidevi (Parvatidevi) is the consort of Lord Shiva here.

Another idol that can be found in the Siddheswaraswamy temple is that of Veerabhadraswamy who is said to be the destroyer of Dakshayagnam, namely, Daksha Prajapathi, the father of Goddess Parvati.

The story goes that Dakshudu was holding a function and did not invite Lord Shiva and wife Goddess Parvati. Goddess Parvati however insisted on going for the function though her husband was not very happy with it. At the function she was badly humiliated and came back home very upset.

This made Lord Shiva furious and he was filled with rage and thus emerged as Lord Veerabhadraswamy who destroyed Dakshudu, the father of Goddess Parvati.

In the Siddeshwaraswamy temple premises is the statue of Ekathathayya.

A King and a great devotee of Lord Shiva, he was a wonderful human being and had all the happiness that one could ask for.

It is believed that if people suffering from migraine come to this temple and hit their head against the idol three times, then they will be relieved of the pain.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will celebrate the 600th Jayanthi of Saint Lyricist Annamacharya in a grand manner at Talapaka in Kadapa District, the saint's birth place, from May 19 to 22nd 2008, TTD Chairman B Karunakar Reddy said.

He said Talapaka would be developed into a modern spiritual centre on international standards.

The TTD acquired eight acre of land for constructing spritual 'Udyanavanam,' Sri Venkateswaraswamy Temple and Anamacharya Museum adjoining the imposing statue, he added.

Lord Venkateswara (Sanskrit: वेङ्कटेश्वर, IAST: Vēṅkaṭēśvara), also known as Śrīnivāsa, Bālājī, Vēṅkaṭa, Venkata Ramana, Vēṅkaṭāchalapati, Tirupati ...

Venkateswara the king, is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Venkateswara is known to be the only God who took birth to save the people from troubles of Kaliyuga. He will reside there in the temple till the end of kaliyuga.

Venkateswara the king, is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Venkateswara is known to be the only God who took birth to save the people from troubles of Kaliyuga. He will reside there in the temple till the end of kaliyuga.

Venkateswara literally means "Lord of Venkata". The word is a combination of the words Venkata (the name of a hill in Andhra Pradesh) and isvara ("Lord").

Venkataramana or Balaji epitomizes the feature of the Supreme godhead that preserves and sustains all things and beings in the manifested world.

Om Namo Venkateshaya Namaha:

Venkataramana or Balaji epitomizes the feature of the Supreme godhead that preserves and sustains all things and beings in the manifested world.

He is everything that is to known. In the timeless begining he was there as the one without a second. He is the Preserver or Sustainer of life, UPHOLDER OF the principles of sathya , shanthi and truth (dharma).

At the time of his divine descent, in the human form with his four arms He is shown carrying in his hands a conch (shankha), a discus (chakra) and a mace (gada). He wears a crown, two earrings, a garland (mala) of flowers around His neck and a gem (kaustuba) on his chest.

He is described having a dark colour ,representing ether, the fifth and highest element after air and earth and fire and water; the substance composing all heavenly bodies. The lower hands are stretched downwards to ask devotees to have faith and surrender to him for protection

The Sastras, Puranas, GREAT VAISHNAVAS SAINTS and Alwar hymns UNANIMOUSLY declare that, in the Kali Yuga, one can attain mukti, only by worshipping Venkata RAMANA or Sri VENKATACHAPATHI.

Lord Venkateswara (Srinivasa or Balaji) is worshipped as the incarnation of Lord Sri Narayana and hailed as the Lord of Kali Yuga! There are many legends that describe the incarnation of Maha Vishnu as Srinivasa, His marriage with Padmavati who is the incarnation of Goddess Maha Lakshmi,

Most of our ancient texts declare that one can attain moksha in Kaliyuga only by worshipping Lord Sri Venkateswara.

This is good news for the spiritual seekers.

Also for the MATERIALISTIC PEOPLE, Lord Venkateswara will bestow prosperity and wealth in abundance to devotees who VISIT THIS TEMPLE REGULARLY.

In general , Time flies by thick and fast fast like a stormy wind and man's life is melting away quickly like a block of ice in the sun. Everything around is undergoing sea change, but man's perception of the world remain unchanged. Obsessed with the external senses, preoccupied with the acquisition of material objects, man's life is becoming stressed out everyday and man is losing his mental balance. Anxiety, fear, suspicion are dominating him.

In the kaliyuga only the darshan of Lord balaji and his constant remembrance can take away man from the above mentioned problems. Hence our temple would endeavor to provide the much needed spiritual support.

So Lord has everything to give for all kinds of seekers.

Lord Venkateswara has four hands. In the upper right hand, he holds the Chakra (wheel), meaning the wheel of time.

In the upper left, he has a Sankha (conch), which resembles (OM) signifying the four Vedas.

The right lower hand is directed towards his feet, a sign to the bhaktas to surrender to him in all their troubled times.

The lower left hand rests on the left thigh, telling the devotees that the cycle of births and deaths is just knee deep and he would take care of those who totally surrender to him with intense devotion and forgive their mistakes.

Garuda is his Vahana (Vehicle). Favourite prasadam to Lord Venkatachalapathi include laadu, vada, adai, tamarind rice and curd rice.

Timing and Trust
When, God, When? : Learning to Trust in God's Timing

When, God, When? : Learning to Trust in God's Timing

  • I trusted in, relied on, and i am confident in You, O Lord Venkateshwara; I said, You are my God.

  • My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.

  • I have learned that trust requires us to accept that some questions will be unanswered and to place our times in God's hands-believing that even though we do not know all the answers, He does. He has a perfect timing for all things in our lives. We all desire and believe for good things to happen in our lives, NOW not later!

  • Trusting God often requires not knowing how God is going to accomplish what needs to be done and not knowing when He will do it. We always say, "God is never late," but He is generally not early either. Why? Because He uses those opportunities to stretch our faith in Him, and we grow during times of waiting.

  • The reason is that He is teaching us lessons in trust! Trust is not inherited; it is learned! We learn to trust God by going through various experiences that require trust. By seeing God's faithfulness over and over, we let go of trusting ourselves, and gradually we enter God's rest and place our trust in Him.

  • Looking at it like this, it is easy to see how timing plays an important part in learning to trust God. If He did everything we asked for immediately, we would never grow and develop. Timing and trust are twins. They work side by side.

  • Foolish people find fault with it because they are impatient and don't give God the time it takes for His justice to emerge.

How great are Your deeds, O Lord,

Your thoughts are very deep.

The ignorant man does not comprehend them,

Nor does the fool understand them.

When the wicked spring up like grass,

And workers of iniquity flourish,

It is that they may be destroyed forever....

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree,

And grow mighty like a palm tree....

To declare that the Lord is upright,

My Rock in Whom there is no unrighteousness.

This explain the world's apparent evil as in no way compromising God's justice and righteousness. He does it by comparing the wicked to grass, and the righteous to a palm tree. If you plant grass seed and a palm tree seed on the same day, the grass will start to sprout much sooner. At that point, a person who knew nothing about nature might predict that the grass would ultimately grow to be higher and stronger than the palm tree, since it was growing faster. But the experienced observer would know that the head start of the grass was only temporary, that it would wither and die in a few months, while the tree would grow slowly, but would grow to be tall and straight and would last for more than a generation.

So too, this suggests, foolish impatient people see the prosperity of the wicked and the suffering of the upright, and jump to the conclusion that it pays to be wicked. Let them observe the situation over the long run, he notes, and they will see the wicked wither like the grass, and the righteous prosper slowly but surely, like the palm tree.

Chilkur Balaji Temple (Visa Venkateshwara)

Chilkur Balaji Temple (Visa Venkateshwara)

The Visa Balaji Temple In Hyderabad Grants Your Prayers Visa!

ABOUT THE TEMPLE

The Balaji Temple is located at Chilkur in the Hyderabad district. It is 33 Kms away from Mehedipatnam. Approximately 75,000 to 1,00,000 devotees visit in a week. Generally temple gets heavy rush on Fridays and Sundays.

The temple at Chilkur is managed by the hereditary trustee Sri M.V. Soundara Rajan and Sri C.S. Gopala Krishna. The entire family of the archaka, including the women are dedicated themselves to serve the God.

HISTORY

Twenty Five kilometers from Hyderabad off the Vikarabad road and on the banks of Osmansagar is the picturesque village of Chikur with its hoary temple dedicated to Sri Balaji Venkateshwara. From the style, structure and appearance, it can be inferred that the temple was built half a millennium ago. Set in sylvan surroundings, the temple attracts thousands of pilgrims every year and is an ideal place for sequestered retreat and meditation. It enjoyed in the past, great days of pomp and glory.

The temple is one of the oldest in Telengana, having been built during the time of Akkanna and Madanna, the uncles of Bhakta Ramdas. According to tradition, a devotee who used to visit Tirupati every year could not do so on one occasion owing to serious ill-health. Lord Venkateshwara appeared in his dream and said, "I am right here in the jungle nearby. You don't have to worry." The devotee at once moved to the place indicated by the Lord in the dream and saw a mole- hill there, which he dug up. Accidentally, the axe struck Lord Balaji's idol covered by the mole-hill below the chin and on the chest, and surprisingly blood started flowing profusely from the "wounds", flooding the ground and turning it scarlet. The devotee could not believe his eyes when he saw this. Suddenly he could not believe his ears also when he heard a voice from the air which said,"Flood the mole-hill with cow's milk". When the devotee did so, a Swayambhu idol of Lord Balaji accompanied by Sridevi and Bhoodevi(a rare combination) was found, and this idol was installed with the due rites and a temple built for it.

Sri Balaji venkateshwara, the Pratyaksha Daiva in kaliyuga, is thus available at Chilkur to shower blessings on His devotees who for any reason are unable to go to Tirupati. Many devout worshippers flock to the temple, to receive the blessings of the Lord and his consorts throughout the year particularly during the Poolangi, Annakota and Brahmothsavams

With the earnest desire to revive the former glory and importance of the temple, the idol of Ammavaru was installed in 1963 the year following the Chinese aggression, and when the aggression was unilaterally vacated, Ammavaru was given the name of Rajya Lakshmi, signifying this welcome event. The unique feature of this idol is that lotus flowers are held in three hands and the fourth hand is in such a position towards the lotus feet which signifies the doctrine of Saranagathi.

The temple has been visited by great Acharyas from time to time. A visit to the temple is a must for the Jeer of Sri Ahobila Mutt every time he visits the twin cities, and in the temple is installed the idol of the first Jeer. The Tilakayaths of Sri Vallabhacharya Sampradaya have been regularly visiting the shrine. Jagadguru Sri Sankaracharya of Sringeri Mutt and his disciple graced the efforts of the trustees in improving the temple.

REMEDIES

Vishnu Sahasranama was first composed & recited by Bhishma, when he was on his deathbed. Lord Krishna went to see Bhishma because he was breathing his last. When Bhishma had darshan of Lord Krishna, he started reciting Vishnu Sahasranama immediately. Vishnu Sahasranama means, rosary of thousand names of Lord Vishnu.

He started reciting Vishnu Sahasranama in the order he saw lord's form continuously and successively.

Vishnu Sahasranama is found in Mahabharata, the great epic of India.

If confers all the mundane transcendental benefits to the person who chants it. There are so many Sahasranamas of Vishnu, but among them this happens to be the most cardinal and important one because right from Sankaracharyalu there are so many Sages and Saints who have recited and commented in their own way. Even today, it is recited with the fervor and gaiety in all the temples of Lord Vishnu.

The Chanting of following names of Lord Vishnu, immensely helps us in overcoming the obstacles in our daily life.

1. "Om Vashatkaaraaya Namaha" : For Success in Business.

2. "Om Aksharaaya Namaha" : For Success in Studies.

3. "Om Bhuthabhavanaya Namaha" : For Good Health.

4. "Om Paramaathmane Namaha" : For Self Confidence.
